FFX PS2 and PS3 Comparison Screenshots

One of things that people have been interested in and talking about is if there is a difference between the PS2 original FFX and the HD remaster for the PS3. Some screenshots from the two were pulled out to get a a comparison and even without a side by side the difference is very clear. The most noteable, like with SD image versus HD image is the clarity. But the extra details brought in the characters comes out when seeing how it looked before.

I've said before that I'm not really blown away by the increase in detail. If anything it just makes me notice the weird little imperfections more than before; like the way Tidus' hood sits on his shoulders (or rather how it fails to sit on his shoulders). The battle animation in X was always really fluid, so I'll decide whether I actually prefer it once I can see some battle footage.

This is based on the International versions of the games. So previous strategy guides you got will not be enough, you'd need a PAL or International guide. There's plenty on the internet likely, so it shouldn't be a problem.

It isn't a huge difference...so not what I was expecting...XD Yeah they made everything a bit smoother, but it doesn't look like the newer games in terms of graphics. Why does the HD versions of older games always look similar to the older versions? It doesn't make sense to buy it if it looks basically the same with just really minor "Restored in HD" details. I will have to wait and see HD Youtube Let's Play videos of this before I make the decision to buy it...again. The addition of trophies is nice, so that is a plus for me. Just gotta wait and see I suppose. Don't get me wrong, I loved FFX and FFX-2, but this doesn't fully impress me just yet.
