Recently beaten the game for the first time. Personally, I really liked the ending. I was pretty sad to see Auron, one of my favorite characters in that game, go away like that. Same thing with Tidus, especially after seeing Yuna attempt to hug him but ended up running through him and falling down.
Although I do have some grips with it as well. I wished there was some more closure with some of the other characters in the game. Like with Kimahri, Lulu, Rikku, and Wakka. All they did through the ending was just stand there watching as the events took place.
Other than that I enjoyed it. Not as much as FF9's ending though, in which everyone of the main characters experienced some form of closure.
I thought the ending was awesome (very graphically impressive) the story was a bit sad/happy for different reasons but overaall the game and the ending were both tottally cool!!!
I found is really sad :( It got me crying and everything. It was a great ending thought sad endings are always the best ones. Even Auron leaving got to me thought he stayed smoth even in death. BUT!!! Tidus should have told Yuna he loved her just before he jumped!
i completely hated the ending all the way up until i realized that there was plans for a sequal.
Tidus was my favorite charactor and i hated the way things ended up for him and how he isnt in X-2 at all unless you get the perfect ending but if you are playing X-2 get the perfect ending its totally worth it.
I didnt really get the ending of ffx like tidus just disapering
The ending is cool and very easy to understand and obviously it is more graphically impressive than 7, 8 or 9. So I personally think it is good.
I personally loved the ending to this game. Auron being my favorite character, I was devastated that he disappeared, but then I realized he was finally going to be able to rest. After all he'd done, he deserved that.
Tidus and Yuna's parting made me bawl my eyes out, and I'm not ashamed to say so. I can remember sitting there with the tears rolling down my cheeks as Tidus was fading. Yes, I am a sap. :P
I like the ending. The way Tidus just...decides to leave all of a sudden can kinda make someone's eyes well up. After all you've been through, that's really a sad way to bid farewell to your friends.
I got happier when I realized there was a sequel for it, but once I learned the content of it I decided to just watch the endings on Youtube. :P
Yeah the ending was good. Personally i dont think there was a need to make X-2. X wrapped up character's stories quite nicley, nothing that left me asking questions not that X-2 may have anwered those questions.
I liked the way the Faith were allowed to finally rest and the scene where Yuna Sends them and then Sin explodes like a firework into millions of pyreflies was a great touch. Also i felt a little sad when Tidus began to fade and Rikku says "we'll see each other again" you can tell they're losing a friend. He kinda grew on me too over time, i forgave him for all his little issues.
Major SPOILERS!!!!
Spoiler: I thought the ending was awesome. Tidus pulled in from the dreamworld to confront his father, and once confronted to defeat the core of Sin which was Yu Yevon, irronically enough the messiah of the religion which claimed to want to vanquish Sin, but who truthfully enjoyed the monster keeping it's citizens faithful.
I did love both Auron and Tidus fading into the ether as well. Very fitting.
The only thing I didn't really appreciate was that if you'd done any sort of leveling, the final battle was a cake walk. I'm not even a grinder, but it was just way too easy. You almost have to race through this game and try to beat Yu Yevon at a minimal level to get much enjoyment out of the battle itself.
I will agree with the final boss. It did take me 5 tries, but i did defeat him.
My second playthrough of the game, I beat him in three strikes.
I am also saddened by Yevon. Yunalesca was an interesting battle. Zaon in FFX-2 was cool, but yevon failed in monster design and difficulty.
i loved the ending, but yeah it was sad... Tidus having to go and evrything, i think its the one game ive evr cried at the ending
Ending was Good, but very sad :( poor Yuna-chan.
I'm a guy, I've lost a lot of people in my life and I only cry whenever I'm in a bliztering amount of pain or something pierces my heart. The ending made me cry, I'm sure things have already been spoiled in this forum and I'm not going to say anything to avoid spoiling. It's just sad because they tried so hard for someone not to die...they still lose someone. This is IMO the saddest ending to any final fantasy, though it is still one of the greatest of all time IMO
I got a bit emotional at the end of Final Fantasy X - it was so sad seeing Yuna and Tidus have to part ways, especially since they had fallen in love with each other. I loved Yuna's speech at the end though, that really moved me.
The ending for me was really quite depressing, for a few reasons, 1.) the game was over and I wanted to keep playing. and 2.) it was really sad! I was really hoping that it would work out that Yuna and Tidus would be able to stay together (even though I knew that couldn't be.) I invested a lot of time and emotion into this game, it moved me and therefore when it ended I cried, I will admit that. Another thing I will add is for me, the ending added some more questions than answers, don't know if anyone else felt that way, but that's just how it was for me.
Spoiler: I think FFX had the perfect ending, a solid statement to end a brilliant storyline, it couldn't have ended in a better way. I'm one of the people who love that Tidus and Auron faded away, yes it maybe not what they personally wanted, especially Tidus I'm sure, but that made it so realistic and epic. I cried like a baby, but the storyline is the main reason I love FFX so much, if it was different I'm sure I wouldn't have it on my top 3. However, Square Enix had to ruin all this with FFX-2, this game was a let down compared to X and I wasn't convinced with the reasoning they gave for bringing Tidus back. I think X-2 should've been more about Shuyin and Lenne, and SE didn't bother making their ending in better graphics, yet had 3 versions for the happy couple.
i wish there would be ffx3
The ending is kinda tragic , but you know both happy and sad . happy that you got rid of bad thing but sad you lost a precious one . I was very touched and even my sister who didn't like the game was watching the ending and liked it too. Yuna was amazing strong determined heroine and her friends are all awesom !
It was a sa ending, but the only ending that could make any sense. The ending felt right.
it was great. X-2 almost ruined it with them reuniting(kinda takes away from X-1's ending. but then i realized i can just think of the "bad" version of X-2's ending.
X's ending was sad, yet good. Suteki da ne made me cry when the credits appeared > 3>
