Worst character, in your opinion?

I know a lot of people are gonna hate on me for this one, but I really loathe rats... In real life etc... They are gross, gross tails, gross teeth that can pinch and break the skin, diseased, they live in filth etc etc... I'm an oldschool FF fan, so when I heard the goons where coming back I was excited, but when I found out it was an anthro rat chick I was more than disappointed, I felt a little sick. My Aunt has a deathly fear of rats, and me I don't like them to much myself... I know this is gonna get a lot of hate but many of you go on and on about characters you don't like. I can't help the character I think is weird and a little disgusting is so popular.... Really I would of much rather had another human Cain type Dragoon but whatever... This whole thread is probably making the community hate me but I just can't stand rats.... Nothing against her she has some good moves in battle but I just can't get into that furry rat stuff. I guess its cuz the character carry's the plague and I wouldn't want Garnet getting sick...

My least favorite is probably Amarant. I found him boring in battle and he had a stale personality. The game definitely could've done without him.

Eiko. She just couldn't stop obsessing over Zidane, or being jealous of Garnet. It seemed that there was nothing to her personality expect that. She was a fangirl, that's all. I don't completely dislike her, because it's really sad and depressing how alone she actually is, but out of all the others, Eiko comes last.

Definitely Amarant for all those reasons. In a close second would be Eiko. She wasn't really all that powerful, except for her summoning powers, but even then, she would quickly run out of MP. I usually don't keep a healthy stock of ethers, either.

My lwast favorite character would have to be Cait Sith, I don't know why, there's just something about him. Another character I couldn't stand for a while was Vanille, it's better now, I only mildly despise her.

I'm not for sure, but I believe this thread is about FF9. However, I would have to agree with you that Cait Sith was prolly the worst character of FF7. Too bad he wasn't a Sith Lord (obvious Star Wars reference) or he might've been more useful.

Ooops , I feel stupid now, I just noticed the worst character and immediately thought of those people. If I'm working on FFIX alone, I would have to say, Zidane and Amarant. Zidane was extremely annoying IMO, I really didn't like his character at all. Amarant, well that was explained pretty well by others before me.

Really? Because I thought Zidane was the best character. Not only was he a ladies' man, he was an all out powerhouse. His auto-abilities made him the number one choice for any lineup. And despite being a horndog, he also has a sweet side. My favorite moment of any FF is in disc 3 when he saves Princess Garnet from the crumbling castle and she looks at him briefly before giving him a big ol hug.

Oh, don't get me wrong he is one of the best characters in the game, and there's nothing wrong with a ladies man. I just can't stand him for some reason, it's something in my gut.

Out of battle, Eiko did my head in - and just to go against the grain, I'm not a massive fan of Vivi either. Rarely used him in battle as Im not a massive magic user, though I do seem to go for magic more than I used to. Out of battle he just whined too much

I didn't think Amarant was all that bad, I used him for return magic against Ozma in place of Vivi. Plus he could do decent damage with throw

Also, Quina is the best ever, both in and out of battle, shame about the shitey trance

Well my argument with Gilgamesh is that since from previous titles he has been wondering the Void traveling through time apparently (that has been his story now since I think Dissidia). My theory is that he was hiding in disguise and since he likes to be a funny guy, acted all tough thief when he wasn't crazy at it.

Waghh? Garnets one of the best characters in battle, good offense and defense, better than Vivi in my opinion, hell an unboosted ark summon usually does 9999...

And to all the Cait Sith haters, he was pivotal in FF7's story, without him there would of been many plot holes. And he was simply a drone, the real Cait Sith was a simple business man. I mean you can hate Cait Sith all you want but he's basically a giant Moogle something all FF fans love. I really love the fat weird crazy guys like Cait Sit and Quina... They add diversity, its actually boring soldier characters I dislike... Cept Steiner he was pretty funny.

How where they suppose to get the black materia, who supplied them with Shinra intel towards the end of the game? Its funny you guys hate Sith cuz he spied on them but fail to realize by the end of the game he helps everyone. You also fail to realize that he represented an unbiased guy coming to terms with whats wrong with his government and siding with the sole called terrorists he was suppose to infiltrate. Reeve I think his name was...

Dude I just don't get how you guys say Garnet sucks, Ark summon? 9999 damage unboosted? Healing ability's? Punch and defense?? I never took her out of my party, the party sucks without her...

I don't think she's the worst character, I think she's (in my strategies for battles) one of the worst characters for battle.
