New kids cartoon coming out like 20+ years later

Check it out. Article says it will be aimed at children aged 8 to 13. It'll be by Cyber Group Studios, a Paris-based studio. So not an anime, I guess. Wikipedia says they worked on ReBoot. It also says they were founded before ReBoot ended. I dunno. Oh well.

We'll see if we hear more about it in the future, I guess. They're trying for a worldwide distribution.

I'm intrigued by this, but I'm also a little surprised that they've decided to do FFIX of all games. It was definitely one of the better ones, but I don't think it really had the cultural impact that FFVI or VII had.

I'm glad they're not milking VII, but it seems like a typical Squeenix milking of the cash cow

Maybe it's because IX's character designs were a bit more cutesy. Although a dude on Twitter pointed out that there are some mature themes in IX that might not be appropriate for kids, so *shrug*
