I'll definitely pick this up, gameplaywise VIII is my favorite Final Fantasy. I know this game inside out. Though I'm curious, does it come with any improvements or is it just a simple re-release, either way I'm sure it wont be a chore to install on newer os anymore and that's a huge pluss in my book.

I actually welcome the 100 magic option, I mean, the exploit to mod cards and items for spells works too but this shaves ALOT of time from the drawing plus it allows for more experimentation, but that's just me.

I was just discussing someone the card game and what you can get within the first disc. You would have to spend hours upon hours getting all the best stuff in disc 1.

They added an achievement for this.

Contrived Finish

Finish the game with Squall's initial level

Sounds like fun but you basically wont be using Squall for most if not all of the game unless you wish to Card Mod the hell out of everything.

I like how they added a challenge for it with this release with this achievement. FFVII didn't really do that except for maybe with the Materia...but not really. Whenever they release FFIX I can't wait to see what they add for Achievements.
