Actually, i was re-playing this recently and doing the SeeD rank quizzes there is infact only 1 rare card in the whole game according to that.

Q. What can you draw from Rinoa while fighting Adel?
A:I remember being able to draw Regen, Esuna and dispel. You can also mug elixers from her.
Q: What are the rewards you receive for destroying the spider robot in Dollet? Bonus points for saying how many times you need to fight it in order to achieve this.
A: You get one of a selection of GF items (yesterday, I got a Power Wrist!) from beating it, as well as 50AP and an extra 100 points on your SeeD exam report. The earliest you can beat it is on your second encounter and you have to knock it down and let it repair at least three times in any given battle before it's killable.
Q: Which books are newly stocked in the Library at the start of the game, and whose reserved books have not yet come in? Bonus points for naming these books.
