At the beginning of Disc 4 You'll be in the Black Mage Village, after some dialouge ( "spoilers") you'll be on the airship invincible, land it, then go back to the village and enter the weapon shop. Purchase the Wizard Rod for Garnet, it's abilites are " Protect, Shell, and Curaga ( that's Cure 3!)

Vivi and Amarants weapons you can find in the final area of the game " Memoria" As for Garnets I have no idea.

Garnet's final weapon, the Whale Whisker can be found in a chocograph. It also has the curaga ability.

I recommand a party of Zidane, Steliner, Quina, and Vivi. Have Zidane use Status sword spells, Steliner should be equiped with his ultimate weapon use his best attacks, Quina should blue magic like " Magic hammer to drain MP away from him, and Vivi should use nonelememtal magic like flare. Heal often, and attack!!

How many useless items must I bid on to obtain the items for Steiner's ultimate weapon? Seems like I've bought the place out a few times over now. I've got the list of items, but there are a few that never seem to be up for auction...

Wait til Disc 4 and go to the auction house, buy all the items they had Since Disc 2, then leave the place and reenter it, he should have new items included the item you need to obtain steliner's Ultimate weapon!

I can say this, Steiners Excalibur II is definately worth the wait! How many characters can deal 9999 to multiple enemies? not many. And it doesn't cost much mp to use either ClimHazzard or the other skills he has, either. Magnificent weapon.

Don't you have to beat the game a second time in less than 10 hours to get Excalibur II? I can't fathom how that is even possible...

If I am not mistaked it was 12 hours,so more time to get the weapon. As for getting it skip all cutscenes and FMVS and get to Memoria in 12 hours flat. Then go get the weapon!

Also Don't forget to skip all Cutscenes and FMVs to get to memoria in 12 hours. ( It's the last place in the game lol)

Lets see, first most of what you wrote makes no sense. You need to form your sentences better. But if I get what you are asking, which is FFIX is a continuation of FFVIII. If that is what you are asking then, no it is not. You should know from FF games, that there is only one sequel in the entire series, and it is pretty easily figured out. FFIX has nothing to do with FFVIII other than playing a small tribute to FFVII and FFVIII at the end of the game saying Cloud or Squall.

Small question: You know how at the beggining if you keepin saying you're going to kidnap Queen Brahne, and you can do it so many times till Ruby comes out, does this give you anthing extra or is it just for show?

Nothing extra I am afraid, it's just for show.

That and Garnet and Rinoa look strikingly similar. If FFIX wasn't so cartoony looking they'd probably look identical.

I agree they do look strangely similar with alittle bit of Tifa from FF7 thrown in there too.

First you must meet all of the friendly monsters in Gaia and then satisfy there needs. You need to find all of them to reach the aerial garden.

If not that then something might be wrong with the saved game or the disk.

Friendly mosnters have nothing to do with the Chocobo Air Garden. In order to reach the air gardens you need a dead pepper and the shadow you talked about. Once you find the shadow, makes sure you are flying when you do, and just start up and high as you can and then when you cannot go any higher, use the dead pepper to launch yourself to Air Gardens.

You know it' so weird. I just used my 9999 spells with Zidane,Freya,Steiner and Vivi and I jsut beat him 2 of the 3 times I've tryed. I havent even done the friendly Yans quest!!! I think i even let Vivi Focus for like 2 turns.

    I guess I was lucky.

Great tip: Ozma CHEATS: If one of your charaters' ATB-bar gets full Ozma can cast a spell. Just Wait in the beginning until all of you characters are loaded so he can only cast 1 spell. As for the rest of the game: Just choose a skill when a little spell-movie is playing and Ozmas spedd-cheat doesnt work because hes casting something. Just try not to choose a skill of every character when nothing is happening...
