First off, I almost shit myself when I skimmed through this omgawd.
Now that Ive read through most of your guys post, meh. I definitely see Square's idea for pitching this out. Shit look at the success of Ff3 for tablets/smartphones (they made bank go see how many downloads it has) so why not? Their audience is certaintly no one from ff7 prime generation so again, they're most definitely going after the 10 and under audience. At that it's easily accessable so I say win in my book.
Though my only problem is FF 1 on the nes is more difficult than playing through without the character booster and I feel it's taking away the glamour I felt when I first played ff7 (9 years old thank you very much). If making more money and reeling in a less intentive audience requires them to remake this with a "Hey I'm a noobing tard", I say good for square. If one of those noobing tards ask me to try it, I'd tell em I'd rather try beating Emerald Weapon with 9 materia equipped than hop on that wagon. I'm good on trolling a classic brosev, especially my favorite in the series. I guess that means that they can troll Ruby and Emerald too with that booster huh?
I could understand taking away the level, healh, mp and gil limits for the game... but giving you a "Nope, I win!" button seems... well, seems like it's designed for trust fund babies and serial losers. But honestly, with a little grit, patience, and materia tactics -- you can beat any boss in the game. Challenge makes victory delicious. How is it a "victory" or even fun when you just press a button to be invincible and have infinity money? Way to rip the soul from the beating heart of FF7. At least with the X-Item materia it took a LITTLE effort. Even that was easy moad.Quote:

It's their way of giving the middle finger to everyone begging for a remake. Oh you want a remake huh? Here's your damn remake! *poops out a nerfed version of FFVII*
At first I thought it would be neat to earn achievments in ff7, but now I couldn't give a stuff. I've probably earned every achievment they might possibly include anyway. I've completed the game over 20 times, easily.
The Mukki Achievement
-Get systematically gang-banged by 15 men in a hot tub.
The Underwear Achievement
-Find Orthopedic Underwear
-Wear Lingerie/Bikini Briefs
The Mr. Dolphin Achievement
-No, really. Why does everyone make you give CPR to the little girl?
the 'I Choose You!' achievment
Be picked as Don Cornios bitch.
the "pervert" achievment
Successfully make the girl in the toilet at snow village punch you in the face. (by the way, this is legitimate.)
the "hit me once..." achievement
Successfully counterattack 8 times in one instance.
