Can somebody tell me how to beat red dragon in the temple of the ancients? I'm doing a speed run, and right now my highest level character is only at level 18. Is it possible to beat him?
Use Ice attacks a lot, I've found those to be fairly effective against him.
I'd really recommend being at a higher level though, even if you are doing a speed run. You'll be lucky to get past him at level 18 and even luckier to get past the Demon Wall.
Even if you use Ice Attacks he'll still kill you. No offense but you can't expect a lvl 18 to defeat Red Dragon. By the Time I always get to the Temple of the Ancients my characters are all between lvl 34-37. I highly advise you to lvl to at least lvl 34 so you'll be strong enough to kill it, and you also have to deal with the Demon Wall after the Red Dragon lol, so you'll be in for a speed death if your not leveled enough to deal with him. Before fighting the Red dragon go back into the maze like section of the temple and level up, since once you enter the temple you can't escape unless you saved outside it. Since there is a spirit body anicent in one of the rooms who can Save your game and heal you, I would stay close to there and level up.
I'm rather lost, I'm on disc two at the second visit to Mideel and I had to use a walkthrough just now to check if what I was doing is right, I just got finished at Fort Condor and fought the boss. I then got the Huge Materia from the old man at the table. I read that I am supposed to talk to Tifa or Cloud next at Mideel on the 2nd visit then Ultimate Weapon shows up... but he won't. Have I missed something? O.o
Edit: Don't worry about it, I figured it out.
Do anybody know if there is an X class in Chocobo Racing?
It was just a rumor I heard and I just wanted to know if someone knew about it. I think you're supposed to train and raise 6 gold chocobo's and get them all to the S Class and Ester is supposed to challenge you to a race. Beat her and she'll retire as manager of Chocobo Racing, letting you in on more diffucult races;the X Class. I think this is a lie yet again, I don't have FFVII yet so I can disprove it....
But I do want to know if Chocobo Sage has a brother?
i don't think the chocobo Sage has a brother... i wouldn't know who it would be if he really had one, lol!
ok, you know the Master Materias? the ones the huge materias turn into once you have mastered all the materia type? well, are all the magics master level on the Master Materia, or do you have to work on those too?
also, if you get the Master Materia, do all your mastered materia disappear?
Yeah, I'm afraid so. Without beating Emerald Weapon, that is the only other option of obtaining a Master Materia. Our course having Master (Magic, Command, Summon) materia's gives you the advantage of letting your character use everything in it's respectable class, but the downfall of it is you lose every materia you mastered in that class and not giving how you say, "The Freedom" of having your characters use different spells. S-R-E :(.
EDIT: Sorry bout the double post ;!. But can somebody PLEEASE tell me where can I get the Added Cut materia? The book tells me it's at Great Glacier but in the item inventory of it doesn't have it listed! That's the last materia I need to find :blowtop:!
Yeah its in the great glacier. Its hard to spot seeing as its in the snow on one of the pathways. Which one, however, I can't remember... I think its in the north part near the mountain where the cave is... Not sure lol...
i just seen the lucky 7's strategy for emerald weapon and while i applaud everyone for finding this one out i think its a bit of a lame duck cause the best thing about the weapons is the ap they give when beating them. only having 2 materi equipped kinda makes it worthless fighting them. i prefer the w-summon, kotr linked to hp absorb, and quadra linked to hades or bahamut zero and mime equpped for one or two other characters.
and to counter his aire tire storm link final attack to phoenix (preferably both at level 2)
easy.
just very long with 4 bahamut zero's and a kotr being selected by all characters lol
Anyone know a link to a chocobo breeding chart? I
Try out this website man. Playstation Alley - PS1, PS2, PS3 and Playstation Portable Game codes and cheats. It has a lot of other rumors on there but it only tells you how to get the black and gold chocobo.
It's ok cause I know how to get the green and blue ones. Just mate "Any" S class chocobo w/ a great chocobo and a Carob Nut. You can steal it from this monster by the Bone village that has crazy HP (33,000 to be exact). If you want both, just mate an S class w/ a great male or female chocobo.
Hope that helped :).

There is actually a guide on this website. I think this is better for chocobos than the site Secret Weapon mentioned. It has pretty much anything you would want to know and it isn't too long. I hope this helps you.
can somebody know how to defeat Weiss?? i hate him..soo much...
Where the hell is the submarine??
I'm positive that I defeated the red submarine with the torpedoes, and I should have a submarine but I don't know where the bloody 'ell it is. Anyone able to help me here?
Now I may be wrong, but I believe it's in the dock in Junon? And parked up outside on the World Map, but as I haven't played FFVII in a good wee while I could very well be wrong. And If I am, sorry ha :)
It can't be parked outside... I've looked around there multiple times and I cant find it. And I can't get to the dock because a Shinra soldier is blocking the elevator and telling me I can't go up there.
Hmm... thanks, anyway though :)
EDIT: Nevermind. I got it. ^^;;
how many missions are in crisis core??? please i need to know so i could finish all of it...
for the person looking for the submarine its actually available from the world map. look up and down the junon coast and you'll see it parked in a dock like indent in the coast. press the vehicle enter button to ride the sub
I actually found the specific area of Great Glacier where the Added Cut materia is. It took me a while to do it (basically trying to look for a canteen of water in a desert, wearing a blindfold) , passing out in the snow a few times but I got it done.
OK you have to go to area 10 or come down from area 8 and the first little crosspath (from 10) or the second crosspath (from 8) you come across, it'll be above you in the this little spot and you can see the materia shining, you just have to look hard enough because of Great Glaciers' snowstorm. My heart nearly dropped out of my rib cage finding it. I mean I had to go through almost every part + area of Great Glacier trying to find this materia because I have NEVER found it. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED :woot::woot:!!!! I just wanted to give that info out for those who look on this thread and hope that helps a bunch !
I have already beat the game many times and I decided to start a new game because I wanted to max out a new one=D but it's been such a long time and i forgot were to get the double cut materia.I also forgot where to find desert rose and earth harp for the man in Calm.can someone help me out=]=]=]=]=D=D=D!!!
The Double Cut materia is in the sunken plane (the Gelnika).
The Desert Rose you get when you defeat Ruby Weapon.
The Earth Harp you get when you defeat Emerald Weapon.
I'm currently getting my FFVII save-file to 100%, and i've done absolutely everything, and I mean everything, right now i'm just getting all my characters to level 99, and was wondering what is the best place to get a lot of EXP? Right now, i'm just training in the Northern Crator as it seems to be the best place so far, but is there anywhere else?
So far, Cloud's at level 95, and the rest are around 86-95.
That's what I thought, too. Northern Crator is great, but I want to level up faster, but I guess i'll just have to keep going :)
I plan on going to the Sunken Gelnika next to get a load of Sources to max out Cloud's stats.
Is it possible to give everyone in my party a Master Materia? From what I've read, you can get two (from the Materia in Cosmo Canyon and from taking either the Earth Harp or Desert Rose to the guy in Calm). But I want a third one to give to someone else in my party lol!
