well Lance, the old fasioned KORT+Mime combo should do the trick. It is possible to beat the game at level 27 but if this is your first playthrough then you better train up. A good training place in the Sunken Gelinka, but it might be more of a suicide jump at that level, try whatevers best!

When i fought against Lost Number i had Cloud, Aeris and Red XIII, the best thing to do is to set Aeris' limit break level to 1 so she can cast Healing Wind and Seal Evil. Seal Evil works extremely well at stopping Lost Number allowing you to beat the shit out of it uninterrupted. Choco/Mog also stops the Lost Number.

A useful strategy would be obviously have Aeris in the back row give her a Hyper so she has Fury on her (enabling limit breaks to build quicker) and to have her cast offensive magic and heal your team. I had cloud and Red XIII beat the shit out of it and Cloud occasionally cast Choco/Mog to stop it. Once it transforms use fully physical or fully magical attacks whichever the case may be.

If its magic then bolt, your summons, fire, ice et cetera, anything and everything you have, if its physical, keep Aeris casting Seal Evil when she can and have Cloud and Red XIII give some motherfucking ass.

I can't really recommend what level to be at, because i can't remember what level i was at at the time when i fought it. Lost Number isn't really that hard, let me know how you get on.

If you nabbed Aqualung from the Harpy in the Gold Saucer Desert (drive over the desert while in the buggy) it's very powerful, and relatively cheap too.

The Aqulung spell will be very useful throughout the entire game, especially as it's one of the only very few Water elemental spells there are (along with the Leviathan Summon).

Alright, so you're having trouble beating Emearld weapon. Here is the trick. First get the underwater materia. This is the easiest part. You get the underwater materia by, going into the underwater reactor, into the tunnel where you can see into the ocean. The one where you watch fish's swim. You walk around and look for the Ghost Ship enemy, and you morph him with the Morph materia. He then morphs into a Guide Book. You take the guide book to the old man in Kalm Town. He then hands you the underwater materia. Thus equiping the underwater materia, takes away the 20 min time limit within the battle. Equip the underwater materia, and equip Mime. Equip Knights Of The Round with HP Absorb. When in the battle use Knights Of The Round at the beggining of the battle. When using it it heals your HP, and after that keep using Mime. When using Mime, it does not take away anymore MP. You also wanna be above Lv.75 and/or have HP over 9000, for this trick.

I've heard rumors... unconfirmed by myself though, that if your 3 characters all have 9999 HP and ONLY 2 Materia equipped on each person, if you keep your health at maximum and Emerald WEAPON uses the Tam Aire storm it will remove 2222 HP from everyone (1111 HP for each Materia equipped) leaving all 3 of your people with... All Lucky Sevens!

Then sit back and watch the party!

Only heard rumors... Test and try and see yourself. I used it and it really worked...

If you didn't under stand what Phat Chocobo said I tell it:

Here is how: give everybody 2 hp plus (only) that their HP is 9999. Then heal the party all the time and when emerald do his main attack, partys hp drops to 7777 Hp and emerald is dead.

    Cloud + 2 x hp plus = 9999 hp
    Tifa + 2 x hp plus = 9999 hp
    Barret + 2 x hp plus = 9999 hp

    Emerald attacks

    Cloud 9999 hp - 2222 hp = 7777 hp
    Tifa 9999 hp - 2222 hp = 7777 hp
    Barret 9999 hp - 2222 hp = 7777 hp

    Emerald dead...

You want to buy this shirt and/or this shirt for me, don't you. They cost under 4000 Yens (~25 €). When you have bought both/either one of them (I'm 182 cm tall), contact me with PM and I will give you address where to send that packet. Thank you.

...no. I don;t think it will beat him in one turn. But being immortal and delivering insane ammounts of damage with each blow ought to get you pretty close.

Well, by the time the All Lucky 7s has finished, Emerald would be dead.

I thought it didnt matter if one, two or all chars have 7777 hp because although they attack alternative the amount of damage done in total is the same (or the toatal number of attacks is the same as if one single char attacked)

Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Hmm...I'm not sure. I just assumed all three characters would have the usual 64 (?) attacks each, in which case Emerald would be dead.

But if they just have 64 between them, he wouldn't be.

    =/

  17. #77
Well I've only had it when Barret had All Lucky Sevens, and it didn't kill Emerald WEAPON nearly enough.

However testbug says he's done it himself, so I would assume that every character does a complete volley when 7'd Up!

How many HP does Emerald WEAPON have again? Is it one million?

If an All Lucky Sevens gives you 64 hits at 7777 damage:

    64 x 7777 = 497 728 (Just under half a million, or 50% of Emerald's HP)

Even if I would hit ten times after 7777. It would just make 99999 so it would survive... so how is possible that I beat him with that way...?

Just drop it man....this never worked and never will...I'm not saying you are a liar, but maybe you just don't remember it right.

I'm saying this because I tried the 3x Lucky seven yesturday...and guess what? It didn't work.

Now now, don't question his memory. Perhaps he wore Emerald down sufficently ahead of time...there's no telling the circumstances. As you say, it should just be dropped.

Here's a question I've been wondering about. The save files for FF7...you get a picture of one of the characters on them. I've even gotten pictures of the Turks and Rufus before now...how many different characters can you get before they start repeating?

I would guess 15 because Playstation Memory Cards originally had only 15 Save slots on them, so Square probably never saw the need to draw up more than 15 savegame images.
