    FF7 Android - worth getting?

Im debating whether to get this.

Whats everyone's experience of playing it?
How do the mechanics differ playing it on a phone? Can you save anywhere?

I have ff7 on ps1 but between one game on a laptop and one on ps2 I'm only going to be able to squeeze a playthrough of ff7 out on my commute

I haven't played it myself but one thing you'll have to keep in mind is that you'll need a internet connection (or connection to your mobile data) in order to play the iOS/Android versions. I'm sure it plays just fine as modern smartphones are very powerful these days, and I can't say for sure on the touch controls. If you want a portable experience rather than playing it on your phone, your other option is to purchase the FFVII digital PSone classic game from the PSN store on a Vita (if you have a Vita.) If you don't mind the constant internet connection requirement the mobile device version is a good quick option.

Does it definitely need constant internet connection?
I can't see that in the description but that's a deal breaker if it does.

I researched the information about the android version, according to square android games, you only need internet connection if you start the game up, you don't need internet connectivity if you keep the game on from what I'm hearing from forum posts on users.

I took the plunge and I'm pretty pleased with it.
Save states would be useful but you van just minimise and effectively pause the game. Just have to be careful not to close the window.
D pad is a little awkward.
Still worth it to be able to play this great game on the move

I own this game on Android mobile and can attest that you only need internet to download the game. Otherwise, you are free to enjoy at your leisure, Wi-Fi or no. Hope this helps!
