Apparintly you get it from talking to the man looking at the rocket in rocket town, but u just got some sword for cloud

The man is outside the item shop looking up at the rocket, right? And you got a sword instead of the weapon for Cid? Wow... I don't know what to say about that. You should have gotten it from him.

Did you talk to him 3 times? After about that many times, he should have just handed the Venus Gospel over to you. I think you also have to have Cid in your party with you when you talk to him though. Couldn't hurt to try again, I guess.

Hmm. The sword, eh? I'm not really sure, it has been a while since I've played the game. I guess you could try again sometime later in the game. Maybe that will make the weapon become accessible to you. And of course, have Cid in the party. Worth a shot.

I think you get a sword for cloud if you talk to him after the Shinra Rocket launches. If you wait til late disk 2 or so to talk to him, you should be able to get it after three tries.

I thought you were gonna ask about the secret weapon at first xD The Flayer, which you get after scoring more than 3000 in Speed Square.

The old man looking at the rocket gives you the first time you are there the Yoshiyuki and later in the game you get Cid's ultimate weapon from him as well.

you dont need to have cid in your party, talk to the guy in front of the hut looking at the rocket in disk 2

It is the correct man but you have to talk to him after you have been in space in the rocket.
