There are multiple myths I have heard over the years about this classic. I decided to round up the most common and most interesting on one thread to share and hear people's opinions. Although I don't think these are all true some of them are questionable and fun(still pretty sure they are all false)
Take a crack at these :
- There is a side-quest involved to allow you to revive Aeris, in the USA version.
- The game has multiple endings.
- Proto-Cloud, Sephiroth, and the Chocobo are all playable characters.
- There is a character named Boxer who you can meet and who will join your party.
- It is possible to revive Aeris after her death, and use her again in your party.
- There are many extra materia in the game, and more Master Materia than the basic four.
- Every character has an extra set of hidden limit breaks.
- You can breed a chocobo which can go underwater or into space.
Boxer-There was a big rumor for a while over "Boxer' saying that he was a secret missing party member that could be found on the Island where you steal the zieo nut.He was supposedly one of the goblins obtained just like how you get Yuffie.
You can breed a space and underwater chochobo-Fun..But you would have to be as retarded as a moomba's ass to belive this one..apparently there was a pictue of a chochobo underwater and people assumed that the underwater materia was used for this purpose.Everyone knows it is only used to fight Emerald weapon.
Extra Materia- this rumor is partially true. In the japanese version there are a few materia that are unusable which are: throw, booster,barrier,and underwater.
you be the judge of this one...Al bhed and Sin in FFVII- at the beginning of the game at Tifa's bar you are able to go down into the room under the arcade game in the room with the T.V and punching bag.You go down after (I think it was when Barret goes down..) you can see an al bhed news reporter and sin. Some people say yes and some say it is just a man with glasses and the "sin" is sector 7 blowing up.But people argue.."then why would it say SIN??"
Proto-Cloud, Sephiroth, and the Chocobo are all playable characters- In the flashback at Nibelhiem when sephiroth
is in your party (controlled by the computer) and menu you can add them to your party using a gameshark, but the game will crash if you talk to anyome...
there are many more but i can't remember at the moment...
