Cmon every huge FFVII fan wants to see what itd be like to be remade deep deeeeeeeeeeeep down. We jus dont want the memory of the original/Perfection being tainted by risky lacklustre remake. Im excited n scared as sh*t at the same time. Bt more excited right now. Cant wait for the trailers.

Despite all the awesomeness and the nostalgic punch to the feels, I remain cautiously optimistic about this announcement. I'm not boarding this hype train just yet, but I am pricing train tickets.

I want to believe! I really do. Unfortunately, I can think of a dozen ways they could **** this one up. For example, if for some reason Nobuo Uematsu isn't heavily involved with this project. My limit break meter will overload if that is the case.

I agree there. I didn't get into gaming until the mid 90s, so FFVII was my first dive into the series. Thus, it is extremely nostalgia heavy for me. I am so damn excited for a remake just because it has always been THE game for me that launched me into a life of Final Fantasy adventures, but I'm also scared sh*tless that my nostalgia of the original is going to result in a letdown if it doesn't live up to the original.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I would rather see their efforts fully placed into recapturing the magic of these earlier games, and putting it into new games.

That being said, the trailer does look pretty cool. I'll be pissed if they change the battle system or incorporate towns, characters or lore from the newer ff7 games.

Heh same, when i seen Barret and Cloud a nostalgic tremor ran up my spine and my voice box gave out a weird noise that can only be described as recognition of glee (Gaahhhyeaow!).. But then as many have pointed out, this could be handled badly and it could all go to shit, ill be relatively happy as long as they go with something atleast slightly resembling the FF7 battle system.. I mean i know they wont go with the exact same, spice it up yeah but don't completely change it to the modern shite they have been doing..
