I don't have warm fuzzy feelings about the "Bronies" myself...so sue me.
Is a thing.
I know a few of you guys are bronies/ MLP enthusiasts, so I figured you might get a kick out of it. It's actually pretty well made in comparison to other SNES fan remakes. It seems like it's only a sprite and text swap, but I've been meaning to replay FFVI for awhile, so I'm going to give it a play.
Thoughts?

"I find this all to be highly inappropriate."
Well I'm not one myself, and I can see why some would get on your nerves. As for the game itself, though, do you like modding/sprite swaps like this or is that what you implied with the image?

SPOILER!!:
Final Fantasy VI is like, my favorite game, and I really don't dig this whole "twenty-something men going ga-ga over a My Little Pony show" vibe. But honestly, it doesn't bother me that much.

Weeeell... I like MLP and I love FFVI. But still, this seems a bit awkward. It looks nice, but it lacks the charme of all the characters in FFVI.
I'd asume that's just something which was created out of boredom.
I honestly don't care much for such things...

Hey, when ponies transforms in that game, do they become super pony sayians? just a thought.
Currently Playing:
What's all the hype about ponies? Was it the robo pony game that started it all? Freya, you probably know best.
The hype with the original bronies was the fact that television had gone to shite and finally, someone made a show worth watching, despite the quirks of it being My Little Pony. The second wave of bandwagon bronies liked it because "lol im so secure with my masculinity, ur gay if u dont liek it."- i.e. because they're not supposed to like it and it makes them feel cooler. Almost like hipsters, except they want you to join the subculture.
@Sabin, they definitely should have included that. I want to see how a pony suplexes a train while in SS4 mode.

Disgraceful.
Here's a riddle: When is a croquet mallet like a billy club?
How descriptive.
I haven't bothered to dl the thing myself-not a huge interest-but given the reactions of some people in this thread, maybe I will. Just so I can gush about how awesome it is! It's just a thing. Some people like it. You don't have to. No need to be hatin' on 'dem bronies. FF6 is my favorite FF, btw. Anyhoo...

EDIT: ...I just read the cast list and got annoyed.

WAT.Apple Bloom as Locke Cole
Trixie Lulamoon as Celes Chere
Aww, they should have at least added in Spike so there could be a much needed male character in the cast. Spike never gets much love in the fandom anyway. I'm not angry that this exists, I just think maybe FF VI wasn't the best choice of game to do this sort of thing with.
Click at your own risk.:
I agree, but of all the 2d FF's (the ones that are easily Romhacked), VI had the biggest cast, i.e. the more chances for them to shove characters in, although Spike was indeed left out. It looks like they just took the characters in order of appearance and then shoved them into slots that kind of resemble them.

Ponies just seem so lacking in character and so similar, like the damn Care Bears. They all smile like on crack and say cute things. Not very rpg-like. I agree with Kyrel. The mod is pos, no offense to anyone. Just a personal opinion.
No, it was more of a guess, but are you trying to say the Ponies are distinct characters with unique traits? This show is for kiddies, who don't understand those things. All they care about is how funny they are and what tricks they can come up with. Ok, they might have just the basic traits: curious, funny, happy, serious, cautious, sleepy, scared, goofy, grumpy, optimistic, pessimistic, smarty pants. Wow, that's a deep character set.

Season Two is also more directed at the massive internet audience, and one of the reasons the audience is massive to begin with is because the characters are not typical children's show characters.
Jeez, I keep feeling the need to switch sides, because bandwagon bronies make me want to punch things, meanwhile people who hate shit without giving it a try make me vomit.

People who ride the hype and swag wagon make me vomit as well.
Never saw the appeal. Anyone who likes it is a loser.
This. Maybe give the show a chance instead of judging before you see it? Being open-minded. It's not hard.
I don't really like My Little Pony, but even I'll say it's an okay show. People don't realize that a brand name is just a brand name, and that the staff hired to produce the show can, and did, go above and beyond the call to make something that appealed to those outside the target demographic. Same idea behind how FFVI, a video game on a gray and purple plastic box 4 kidz lol, is still able to appeal to adults.
