A blue enemy that looks like TYRO appeared in the Yahnikurm Desert outside the Mirage Tower.
It was called T REX, and had over 800 HP I think. I have been playing this game almost 30 years now and never encountered that particular enemy once.
It was in the VC version, but I'm gonna guessss...? That it was in the NES version too.

the game does legitimately have such enemies. They're just so rare because by the time you're where you would encounter them, you've got the airship and can avoid almost everything land-based. I've played the game almost as long, and there's still enemies in the Nintendo Power Strategy guide I've never seen(HAVE seen WarMech though).
