Owning Hein with the Geomancer

Was fighting Hein today and realized that my Geomancer's Ice Storm and Wind Slash ripped him apart, regardless of his magic barrier types. Could you do the same thing on the NES version?

Damn, not one TTF forumer here who knows about this or what? I've waited for like a day and still no response.

What I ultimately want to know is do all Geomancer's attacks always ignore enemies defenses or weaknesses?

My apologies! Yes, Terrain attacks do ignore the enemy defense. This is one of the sneaky features of the Geomancer class, making it useful in situations where you wouldn't expect them to be.
