    G = Good Friend Code
    E = Error Friend Code

Just a reminder, your best bet with hooking up with someone is sending a PM on the site here to the person of your choice and agreeing to share numbers.

This is for all you people who unwrapped this for christmas, or whatever. This should cover all your questions about "Mog-Net"...

You can access the Mognet from the moment you reach the first town, so you can enjoy this feature pretty much from the start of the game . Another important thing is that Moogles are found in any important town in the game, so you will not have to be running around in order to send mail. The way I see it is that Square-Enix wanted us to send a letter while taking a break from 'adventuring' outside towns.

There's a limit to how many letters you can send. You're able to send one per
hour to a player and to an NPC. So you could send 2 letter tops per hour (one
for an NPC and one for a friend). There's a trick to this though, if you
don't mind changing the DS clock everytime you send a letter.

    a)Send Mail

This option is pretty self-explanatory. It lets you send letters to either an
NPC or to a friend of yours. The NPCs that are selectable change as you
progress through the game. Here's a list of the options that you get once
    you select this menu:
-A Nearby Friend: Readies a letter & sends it to someone via
    local wireless communication.

-A Faraway Friend: (Requires Wi-Fi access) Readies a letter &
sends it to someone on your Address Book if
that person has also accepted you. If your
friend has not entered your Friend Code yet,
then their number will be gray-colored and
you won't be able to send them any mail.

-Several NPCs: Automatically prepares & sends a letter to the
    desired NPC.

    b)View Mail

Upon checking this option, you will be able to check mail recieved from the
denizens of the FFIII world or simply check what you've gotten from friends
throghout the world. Mail gotten from NPCs will [most of the times] be recieved at the exact same moment you send them a letter (talk about a fast reply XD), if you do not get a letter from them, then it means you must keep sending letters with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, or simply progress more with the storyline.

    c)Address Book

This is your personal Address Book in Final Fantasy III. Here you can check
    several things:
-Friend Roster: This displays your current friends. At first,
only their friend number will be there, but once
you recieve a letter from them, you'll be able
to see the name they put in the Nintendo DS
general options. If you select a name, you can
delete a friend. Finally, you can have a total
of 28 friends in your Roster.

-Enter Friend Code: Here you can enter a Friend Code in order to
register a new friend. Note that your friend
will need to register you too if you wish
to recieve/send mail from each other.

-Display Friend Code: Once you register in the Nintendo's Wi-Fi
connection, you can check your own Friend
    Code here.

    d)Moghouse

Also known as 'Communication Features'. This will let you recieve new mail from local wireless communication or in Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection. This is also a quick way for the system to acknowledge whether or not a friend has added you to his or her friend roster.

Honestly, this is the best way to do it. Just posting saying "Add me" really doesn't work. No body is going to feel obligated to add any one unless you do yourself the favor of taking the time to send someone a message asking for permission.

topher, just a warning, the board moderaters frown on double posting very much so. Thats why it is strongly recommended to make use of the forum's PM system to get in touch with people regarding friend codes. Also edting your post and adding information is another great option as well.

I'll get you new guys added to the master list tomarrow. Be sure to check out the other FFIII thread topics, there are some really good things in there. Be sure to rate them too!!!

for an NPC and one for a friend). There's a trick to this though, if you
don't mind changing the DS clock everytime you send a letter

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1) Turn ON your DS and tap the bottom button (DS icon) to get to your settings.

    2) Tap the blue icon (clock and calender) to get to your time settings.

    3) Next tap on the icon next to the alarm clock (large clock) to enter your current time.

    4) Okay, obviously, you see digits with a colon and the words, "hour" and "minute." All you have to do is change the hour up 1. After that just save and turn back to your game.

    5) Go back to moogle, choose send mail, and... tada! The 1 hour limit is taken off!

After sending your mail to your friend or to a NPC, the 1 hour limit is back on, but don't worry... just do the same process that I told you and you should be fine.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    a)Send Mail

This option is pretty self-explanatory. It lets you send letters to either an

Also the keyword is for the Mini/Side Quests is that you only need to SEND the letter. It doesn't matter if you don't get a reply.

You really should read through some of the posts on this thread, it's a good insight to Mognet however, to access your friend code simply talk to any Moogle in a village and you will access the Mognet Menu which will guide you through the proper method to find your Friend Code.

I don't have my DS in front of me but I believe it's under "MogHouse" or something in that manner, and there is a menu that reads "Your Friend Code"

I take it that unless you send these 7 messages through mognet you stop getting replies from the in game characters?

I'm hanging round bahamuts lair currently at lvl 81, is there a better place to level, other than the ??? cave reachable only via mognet!?

    Many thanks,

    Mike

Most of my Friend Roster for FFIII has come from PM's between people, instead of waiting around for someone to add me and posting one-liner messages, so try it out, you may get more people and the mod's won't get on to you around here

I posted my friend code a ways back, however if the newcomers to this thread would like to PM me to trade FC's then by all means. I sometimes will hop on to just check/reply to messages to help you guys get the Onion Knight.

Hey guys, do you have to send mail to 7 people to unlock the onion knight, or can I send multiple mails to some friends that will total 7?

And, I think I sent this to Draximus79:

Is there a better way to use space than to click on symbols and cick the space tile everytime I need to use space on my messages?
