    FF2 Spell Levels

I was wondering how spell levels affect status spells. I know elemental/damaging spells increase their damage as their level goes up. Do status spells become more effective the higher they are, i.e. Protect7 shields you more than Protect2? Or does it just increase the accuracy of the spell, i.e. Blind10 has a better chance of hitting than Blind4?

I believe so. You can definitely tell a difference in the accuracy of Protect and Shell when you cast it as Level 1 and Level 5. When I would cast it on the entire party at Level 1-2 it wouldn't work on all members, but as the spell got stronger the coverage increased and it seemed to last longer as well.

The same with status spells against the enemies. Blind would only work for a number of them when it was low level, but it worked on all enemies when it was a higher level.

I have noticed that when casting Berserk6 on Guy, he does way more damage than if I cast Berserk3 with another party member. So it probably affects the spell potency too
