Curing Slow (I think??) in FFIII

Ingus in my party seems to have been inflicted with slow (he has three little grey triangles pointing downwards next to his icon in the menu, and he's scoring fewer hits per turn than he used to - only 1 or 2 per attack vs 4-5 before the grey triangles appeared, his job has been warrior consistently through the game). It shows no sign of going away by itself and I can't find any items or spells that heal it. Can anyone advise me? It's making him a much less useful character and is harming my whole game. Thanks in advance!

PS sorry if this is a repeat post, 've been searching and can't find any info on this in the forum.

i didn't know there was slow in this game

Are you sure you haven't changed jobs briefly and then switched back to Warrior? Not that I doubt your intelligence it's just that the only arrows that I can think of that show up are while a character's in their job transition stage.

I did change jobs briefly, but it seems like the arrows have been there for far too long (I'm pretty sure the transition period is supposed to be like 4 battles and they've been there for over 20 battles now...) However, I guess I'll just wait it out. Does the transition period affect attack speed do you know?

It depends on what job you're changing to, the number usualy ranges from 0 to 10 so it can take a while. It says how long the stage will be next to each job when you go to change them.

From what I can gather the characters are set to their base stats during the transition, ie no magic or strength boosts from the their current job, although i'm not 100% this is the case, so it's possible his speed has been reduced too. There's always the possiblity he had equipment that raised his speed before you switched. If you just fight againast weaker enemies he'll be back to normal without the drop in power affecting you too much.
