Twilight Princess is great in my opinion and Skyward Sword is also a great game. Both are really lengthy and give you plenty to do and have great stories. I also suggest the Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii, The Last Story is also really fun, look up the gameplay on youtube. Xenoblade Chronicles is pretty fun, it is very vast and there are a lot of quests to embark on. The story is decent and there is plenty of customization involved, as for it being like FF, it plays like FFXII and it also plays like a PS3 title by the name of White Knight Chronicles.
Other Wii games worth looking at are:
Wario Land: Shake it - 2D platformer with a lot of exploration and item finding.
Punch Out - fighting/boxing game for the Wii that is based off the NES version and brings back most of the boxers and new fighters appear too.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom - vs series game that is really good, plenty of characters to choose from and it even includes mega man and tron!
Red Steel 2 - FPS game and it is AWESOME! The gameplay is great, it is single player only, but it is still worth playing through.
Mario Party 8 & 9 - Great mario party games (though I prefer 8 out of the two), check it out if you'd like.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 3D mario game that is really fun, plenty of stars to collect, and the levels are really nicely done.
Animal Crossing City Folk - If you like simulation games, this is a really fun one, you won't be able to do the online stuff because nintendo's old wi-fi network is shut down.
Dragon Quest Swords - This is an interesting spin off of the DQ series. It's in first person perspective and you get to slash up all the enemies using the Wii remote, if you like RPGs this is worth a try.
Mega Man 9 - This is a WiiWare title you can get from the Wii Shop channel that is still open. This is a NES graphiced game that plays like the older mega man series
Mega Man 10 - another great nes graphiced platformer game.
Cave Story - This is a great indie title. If you haven't played it on PC yet, you can always get it on the Wii Shop Channel, I recommend it.
and then there are the virtual console games which there are buttloads of from atari to n64, neo geo, arcade, etc.
Oh if you never experienced EarthBound, that is on the Wii U eshop channel, i totally recommend that game!
