Has there ever been a time where the box art on a game influenced your decision whether you'd buy the game or not? Also, why does North America seem to get stuck with terrible box art?

Of course, there's the infamous Mega Man box art. Here's the japanese, and here's the american. Clearly, the american artist had no idea what Mega Man was actually supposed to look like. Yay! Anyhoo...

I love some of the Final Fantasy box arts, those with nothing but a logo on them, simple yet neat.

I fell in love with this case. Was my first limited edition I think, and I was very happy with it.

Tagged for size:

Borderlands had a pretty neat case too, and was one of the things that influenced me to buy the game.

I think Bioshock and Fallout 3 jumped out on me too, and made me buy the games. I liked vintage cyberpunk before vintage cyberpunk came into fashion. =/

It wasn't so much the case that made me buy Resistance 3, but the disc in the limited edition. That shit is awesome.
