Tales of!

Hey guys I thought I'd post about my other favourite gaming series next to Final Fantasy "Tales of ________" firstly it's kinda awkward to title this for example the game names are "Tales of Phantasia" or "Tales of Symphonia" but hopefully with those examples you'll understand what I mean.

I love them and I've played Phantasia, Symphonia and I'm currently playing (along side FF7) Tales of Destiny what do you guys think of them and can you give any recomendations?

ps - I don't have a PS3 & I'm from the UK in case someone wants to get into the different regions of the games.

Tales is one of my favorite series; the battle system is awesome. I'm almost finished with Tales of Destiny but, I got a little distracted ^^; tales of Symphonia I've played to death. I also have Tales of innocence with the English patch on my DS emulator, but I've hardly played any of it because....again distracted with other things. I want to get Tales of Vesperia next, but I would like to finish all of the old Playstation ones first.

Sorry bout the double topic post :/ forums are so big I don't know where to start. Since I have a fellow Taleser now I was wondering if you could answer some of the questions about ToD

- Why aren't my characters not fighting much in battles? They fight but only the odd spell or attack

- Is there a reason why Stahn can only attack one time and not make any combo? While Lloyd (ToS) can attack 3-4 times then use an ability Stahn (ToD) can only seem to hit once

- Should Swordians should keep their own swords equipped all the time? I think their swords grow in power the more you use them, I'm not certain though

It might depend on how far you are in the game, as your characters learn more spells/ techniques, their attacks become more diverse. You might have to play with the battle settings because when the other characters are set to auto, sometimes it can get a little screwy. I noticed that when Rutee stopped using healing magic.

As far as I've gotten, he only attacks once, but the techniques are so fast that they act as combo hits. If you don't have that many techs learned then it might feel slow. Also remember to set them up once you learn them. The same goes for the auto members of the team. If you don't set up their techs they won't use them I don't think.

The majority of the time, I keep the Swordian's with the appropriate user, but it's a good idea to switch them around if you want other characters to use different magics. Stahn--I always keep with Dymlos because if you unequip him, Stahn can't use his sacred skills. There really isn't any penalty for moving the Swordian's around though.

And yes, they do level up as you do
