EDIT: Nix I agree with your first comment too! Esp with KH's. The original FFVII game can NEVER be topped but we FFVII fans (most) are so fkn lucky to have so many spinoffs/sequels/prequels/movies and what have you I feel sorry for the fans of other FF's that havent received the same attention. But I love them nonetheless cause its off FFVII the best GAME ever made!!! Oh yeah she was totally attacking you and I. I dont give a shit. Hohoho.
If you like FF and KH games and any other Square related games hey be optimistic. So far Square have never really disappointed me that badly (not over keen on X-2 but it's not unplayable) if you want too be pessimistic that's fine but remember not to 'judge abook by its cover' I just hope it is so you pessimists are suprised.
I haven't bought KH:Recoded and KH:3DS. u_u; I probably won't feel like buying anymore KH games since they'll probably be on the 3DS, Vita, and PS3, which I don't have nor want to buy just to play them. I'm so tempted though!
I'm hoping that it'll be another The World Ends With You game. ^o^)/
You know, I got a speculation I'd like to make. My other one was silly so here's my dream speculation: A new game in the Chrono series.
Nothing to see here, folks. It's garbage. They don't even know if they're going to finish the game.
This looks like an announcement to me. I didn't read it. It's a new title...That's for sure.

well truth is we dont know if they are good at fps or not, but frankly who wants to know? I think its time to admit that whatever hopes we had for a decent RPG left with hironobuo and nobuo. 2 key players in the buisiness. I might actually get a wii so I can play the 'last story' (synonym of final fantasy)

Sorry typo / brain fart on my part. Ment namco and put capcom for some dumb reason. But inow that I know what SEs new title will be to argue how Namco screwed the whole gears / saga series to hell is obsolete or fitting best in a different thread.

Hmm nah I always hold out hope even if I vent sometimes. Kitase, Nomura, Ito and Nojima are still huge key members from Squaresoft. If your gonna lay blame lay it on the mofo Yoichi Wada for putting the wrong people in charge. Mofo. Sakaguchi knew who to put on the frontline..*salute*... >XD

EDIT: The announced new game does look interesting. Too bad it isn't another FF or any other famous rpg series by that company. Hopefully it will have some good presentation and enjoyability.

My reaction to this announcement
... here's hoping it doesn't suck as much as their first attempt to make a shooter, "cough"Dirge of Cerberus"cough", if it does get released that is.
The characters in this game seem rather dull. I can see more of a realistic approach to this game though. Would be interesting to see how this game pans out. I'll wait for reviews to get a better picture though.

As an outsider, I think this escalated waaayyyyy too quickly. So everyone (I mean everyone) should calm down and stop swearing at each other, because that makes things like a billion times more internet-offensive.
Also, in case this hasn't been repeated to death, anything else on this matter should be taken to VM/PM.
And to end on a positive note, thank you to everyone who attempted to keep the thread on track and ignored the arguing going on. That was awesome.

No, seriously. The best announcement would have been if SquareEnix broke up, took their original talent and went their separate ways. They're just not good at making games anymore, and haven't been since the merger. Anything of note always seems to revolve rehashing games that were already done by Square and done well originally. Now it's all shit like FFIV in 3D and FFVI directors cut with a new dungeon. Not to mention the FFVII cavalcade of new characters and stories that have nothing to do with the main story, but the fans will eat it up like sheep!
