A lot of Silent Hill Tracks come to mind but what I love about some Silent Hill tracks is it will have this eerie track going and then a drum beat comes up in the background, eerie chill music.
So, you're playing a game and enjoying it's music. However, do you have a particular music track in mind that makes you shiver in fear or is otherwise unsettling?

SPOILER!!:
Currently Playing: Video Games
Im a huge fan of survival horror games tho I find most of their soundtracks exhilarating, not exactly scary. Different story however playing them as a lil girl eg Silent Hill 2 - That game is/was far too scary for words to describe.
I still feel really stressed out after listening to this 250.gif The fear of drowning really affected me ok..
Ew *shivers* Get me out of here now. I just get a creepy vibe from this theme because of the location and the character it's named after, hes repulsive.
Bitch! Run muthaf run!! Hated those bitches XD
One word -"f*ck" No explanation needed really just a listen will suffice.
......... No thoughts, just all feeling. Unbelievably haunting. 1:13 fml XD
So these were jus some of my thoughts(or lack thereof) at the time I first heard these tracks ^_^
Songs that sends shivers up my spine:
This tune from the Resident Evil REmake
This creepy-as-**** track from Resident Evil 4
That ****ing closet zombie
Outside of horror games which have soundtracks specifically composed to unsettle players or keep them on edge, there are only a few songs that terrify me:
- Crescent mentioned one of them: the "SHIT-SHIT-SHIT-You're-about-to-drown-Sonic!" series of notes.
- Door to the Abyss from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
- The Dungeon theme from the original Diablo creeps me out at times.
- Vagrant Story's Tieger and Neesa
- Super Metroid's Escape theme (with siren) is enough to beat my heart much faster and tighten my arm/leg muscles, even when I am not playing the game! But this is more exhilaration than fear.
- Kind of a non-traditional source for scary video game music: Minion's theme from Twisted Metal and the New York level from Twisted Metal 2.
- Another Dungeon theme from the very obscure Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra (SNES), especially when there's no light in said dungeon.
Hero façade. Villain at heart.
Hard to top Alone in the Dark (1 2 and 3) and Silent Hill for these sorts of scary tunes.
Some stand-outs are "Welcome to Slaughter Gulch" and "Zombie Cowboys", aswell as "Haunted West"

"Finally got You" is what it plays when you get killed in AITD3.. the animations are pretty gruesome for their time. (youtube them!!)
You really really need to try out the old school AITDs, it screws with your head especially if you play it loud*.
*Well don't say I didn't warn ya, play it at night aswell, no lights and with windows open with a cool breeze - set the theme.

SPOILER!!:
To this very day this piece creeps me out, I even have it on my mobile phone for some reason...
Sig and Avy made by Unknown Entity
I finished Siren: Blood Curse aka New Translation in Japan, 3,4 years ago. For myself, it is up there with the Fatal Frame trilogy. I have Lament up there in my first comment but the title theme needs a mention too:
^.~
Damn Crescent that^ track's straight up creepy.
Shouldn't have played through this temple at 1 in the morning as a kid.
Though it isn’t the scariest piece of music on its own, the sheer amount of time your exposed to it while you contend with the Shadow Temple makes it the first thing some of us would think of when they conjure up images of darkness.
Don't forget those ReDeads.
Horrified me beyond belief, so much so i switched it off and returned it for a refund..
Now thats scary..
