The Playstation Network Issues

Is anyone aware if The Playstation Network is having problems?

I am trying to sign up, but it says that it's under maintenance. I tried probably a week ago and it was under maintenance. So obviously something is going on.

Yeah, sometimes i can`t log in. And when I try to login in from here , it shows me that it is under maintenance. I hope they are improving security, so bad stuff doesn`t happen :C

This is why I stick to my PC.

Every other day I hear something about why the PSN or even XBL sucks cause of today it's doing this and tomorrow it's doing that.

I always here about PSN crapping out, and I haven't even been on it myself. I guarantee you if you had to pay for it, things like that wouldn't happen.

@Loaf- I've been on Xbox live for 4 years now, and I never once had a problem with logging in, or have ever been hacked. That's why I don't care about paying for it.

Edit: Also when they do maintenance on they system they don't shut it down. You just get the update via their server when you sign on to Xbox live.

Hasnt happened to me yet. Although I've been trying to get them to fix my psn card that wouldnt add the funds to my wallet. Its been almost 2 months and they are still "working on it". Its pathetic. I've called them 7 times to adress this issue and all they tell me to do is wait when they could rectify the issue immediatly. They just dont want to.

PSN has been all good for me. Today it needed an update, but it wasn't worth complaining about - it updates maybe one or twice every few months. Doesn't take ten minutes.

Maybe it's your internet. Or something is up in the land of Oz.

Nah, it's not Australia, mine's perfectly fine. Only problems I've had in the last year was that bloody month long outage after that hacker attack. Seems to be running almost as smoothly as XBL these days generally, and that's a far cry from how it used to be when I got my first PS3.

Perhaps it's something to do with hacking/modifications though as 'Down for maintenance' was the excuse they used after that attack. I still remember seeing the bloody message every time I tried to sign into PSN or communities that used it as a sign in credential.
