The Parasite Eve games

So upon hearing about The 3rd Birthday for PSP and hearing thats a spinoff of the Parasite Eve games and all that, I looked into playing them and watched gameplay videos on youtube. I played the first one so far and really enjoy it.

What I liked about the game is not only was it a horror game, the story was really interesting and I wanted to hear more of it, the battle system was fun and I liked how I could tune up my guns and make them stronger.

Which of Parasite Eve games did you like and would you recommend Parasite Eve II? as I have not played that yet

I'm really curious, as for what reason was Parasite Eve neglected all these years, Square should know better, after all Parasite Eve is one of their gems and I'm sure it's sorely missed. Sure, The 3rd Birthday is coming out soon, but it's been in development for quite some time now, and I'm afraid it wont live up to it's hype.

The first two though are utter brilliance if you ask me, second is probably one of my favorite games. Both have excellent story, atmosphere, and characters, though what I really like are the RPG elements perfectly mashed with survival horror genre. The second one isn't strong on RPG elements, at least not nearly as the first one, there's no such thing as ATB, which means you can act more freely in middle of the battle. Give it a try Sabin, I'm sure you'll like it.

Thanks for the suggestion, i'll definitely give it a go. Just wanted to see what other people thought. I'm looking forward to the 3rd birthday even though its going to be really different from the previous games.
