New Atelier Title Announced, Two Protagonists, and more

Previously announced, Gust showed off a brief trailer for their next upcoming game in the Atelier series, announced at Project A15, like with all of their previous Atelier/Mana Khemia games. They have now given out the name of the title and some surprising news to go along with it. The new game is titled Atelier Escha and Logy: The Alchemists of the Dusk Sky.

As you can judge by the title, there are two names, meaning there will be two protagonists in game, which has not been done in the Atelier series since Mana Khemia 2, which is more of a side series, though is still part of the Project A titling the Atelier games receive. The previously seen girl is one of the alchemists you'll have the chance to play, her name is Escha.

Escha is a 15 year old girl who is still learning alchemy passed down as family secrets. Her teacher is her mother. The second alchemist is Logy an 18 year old boy who is part of a special team, which is considered for drop outs. He used alchemy in combination with his sword skill.

The players will be able to choice to play either, the main story will be the same for both, but there will be unique events and endings related to each protagonist. The game will make use of the combat developed in Ayesha and previous Arland series games. They have said that it will be possible to have up to 6 party members with 3 set as support, which is similar to Mana Khemia's combat. There is also going to be a memory feature that is designed to get new players to understand easier the alchemy system and other parts of the game's features.

They have also announced that the game will be running on Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warrior's engine. It is unknown how much that will change the appearance of the game. The trailer shown off before has a visual very similar to Ayesha, so it should remain very similar if the trailer is to be judged.
