KH just never got a hold on me. I'm not a fan of Disney, I'll say as much, but the games have alot of quality. I have always been an FF fan first and everything else later.
i wasnt saying it was a bad thing. everyone likes different things. just cuz i feel passionatly about KH doesnt mean you have to be. anyways at least we both like FF :)
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
Well in my opinion i would think it isn't a kid version of FF, they wanted teens and younger kids to both play this game so they added Disney to make it more creative too :) and Final Fantasy. Which is totally amazing crossover game.
And if it were a kid game, i don't think they would have so much fighting and a deep storyline. (I could be wrong this is only my opinion so no flaming me please.)
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
Kingdom Hearts is not a kiddie game, I'm 18 and I love them, beat all of the accept ReCoded. No one would ever have guts to call me a kid, and they know I play KH, just sayin.
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
Disney is awesome and if you hate it cuz its friendly then you must be a superhardass.

I'm torn between this one because while the Disney parts can lower the age slightly, the SE/FF input, what with Organisation XIII and what-not, makes it a bit more mature, i think anyway. Does anyone else out there have an opinion on this?
well I don't think it realy counts as any version of final fantasy, but it does have some of the characters, I've thought it was realy epic fail, but that's just my opinion.

I did my research about this awhile back. But it is true because even the makers originally were striving to create a game that is like a younger kid version of FF but its changed different over time their views.
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
But i really love the game when it really isn't focusing 100% on Disney Characters

It's never focused 100% on the Disney characters. Of course your visiting Disney worlds, but even than.
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
Sure, Kingdom Hearts has a mixture of Disney and Final Fantasy characters but i would hardly refer to it as a 'kids version of Final Fantasy'. It's anything but. Kingdom Hearts has some of the most mature story concepts that i've ever seen (namely sacrifice and loyalty to friends).

Thank ye kindly xD
Honestly, i found Ansem to be a bit of a more mature and terrifying villain than some other Final Fantasy games.

He seemed more sure of himself if you know what I mean. He had his plan from the beginning, and he was suceeding at it with alarming speed for awhile.

true... he knew what he wanted to do and how he was going to go about it

Indeed he did. Although i'm not really sure if Riku and Sora fit into his original plans of taking over. I have a feeling that Ansem kind of had to improvise with Riku's desire to become the Keyblade Master and use him to try and stop Sora. Let's face it, the more time Ansem had to destroy worlds, the more power he received. Imagine if he had managed to delay Sora and destroyed another few worlds - would Kingdom Hearts have still ended the same way?

wow, who knows? probably not, there would have been less hearts to collect right?
Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
I didn't start playing Kingdom Hearts until I was either 20 or 21. What held me back was the fact that Disney characters were in it. Then one day, I saw it at Kmart for $6. It was a return that they had to move for newer stock. I bought it and have loved the series ever since.
The concept of it being "kiddie" or a "child's game" may put some gamers off. But as they say, "Don't knock it 'til you try it."

Re: Is Kingdom Hearts a kid version of FF?
I wouldn't say it's a "kid version", because if it's a kid version it would be all singing/dancing/flowers and all that stuff, bottom line is near the end with Kingdom Hearts it gets pretty intense with Organization XIII and the final battles. Granted it's a little more watered down than FF, but I wouldn't call it a kid version. I'd call it a....keys are cool so we'll use that as a sword kind of game!
