Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Announced

Square Enix released a video previewing what has largely been assumed and teased ever since the release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD. Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD has been confirmed and will contain Kingdom Hearts II Remix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Remix and Kingdom Hearts RE: Coded. These are the Japan-only versions of the games updated after their international release and to be available for the PS3 in HD. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is a side story on the PSP, teased at the end of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be in cinematic form like Kingdom Hearts 368/2 Days was for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD.

Oh that's so cool! There's so many extra things on KHII Final Mix that we never got overseas that I really wanted to do, like the extra boss battle with the Lingering Will, and the Mushroom XIII sidequest. Not to mention the extra Keyblades, abilities and Limit Form.

I wonder if it'll be on the Vita, they've been going way down in price recently. It if does turn out to be on it I might think about getting one.

Oh my goodness, I am pumped!!! KH II and Birth by Sleep are really good ones. Is Re: Coded going to be a movie session like BBS or will it have actual gameplay?

Re:Coded is going to be a movie. But yeah, I'm really excited to play Birth by Sleep, it was the one on the handhelds that I actually wanted to play.

You're going to love the battle system for Birth By Sleep. It is, hands down, the best combat system in KH in my opinion. As you may already know, the game has 3 different characters with different storylines. I suggest starting with Terra, then Ven, then Aqua. You can do any order you want, but that's just my suggestion. I liked Terra the most out of that group haha.

I'll keep that in mind when I play it. It is interesting to hear that it has the best combat since it was on a handheld. I'll be curious to see how it feels compared to KH and KH2.

I forgot one more important detail, if you play the game on critical mode, you start with an extra command slot. Its a nice little perk when playing the game.

Good news for sure! I was afraid I might not get to play KHII again after my PS2 stopped working. :')

If you've played Dream Drop Distance then BBS is a little like that. They're quite similar in terms of combat and how you assign abilities, except BBS allows for much more customization which lets you play to each character's strengths.

But yeah out of the series KHII and BBS have my favourite battle systems by far, it'll be great to have them in one package. I'd love to see how BBS turns out on a tv screen too.

This is good news for me, it will give me something to do once I finish my binge of KH 1.5 (going for platinum). Although I figure I will probably just be finishing up Chain of Memories Platinum trophy right around whenever this ends up coming out. Of course maybe I will have FFX, X-2 to play as well, although I think I will get those for Vita unless something terrible happens with the Vita version.

While looking forward to it, I can't help but feel a little cheated that it wasn't bundled all together with KH 1.5. Buuut I can see why, if they're technically bundled with the handheld games, so we're call, Square Enix. We cool.

I preferred the second game anyway. I checked the platinum list for KH 1.5, and that looks like a headache waiting to happen. Difficulty doesn't stack, so playing through four times doesn't appeal to me. But I want the platinum too. ;-;

Yeah the difficulty thing is silly, can't really understand why you wouldn't do it like virtually every other game out there. Only trophies i have left to get are no changing equipment (which is the dumbest freakin thing ever) and easy mode. Curious what achievements will be in 2 i asume get all the things type achievements but if they have another no change equipment i may cry.
