So September 20, 2011 was the the release of the final chapter in the EPIC trilogy.

I will say that I haven't been disappointed yet! The campaign, multiplayer, horde & beast mode has ceased to amaze me. Especially the multiplayer, which went back to the roots of gears 1 multiplayer (mainly), which all gears fans from the beginning were begging for. Thanks EPIC for not letting us down this time!

Just curious if any one else picked up the game? If you are enjoying the game, and what's your opinion on it? Any other details you enjoy or hate would be much appreciated as well.

My favorite character is Baird, he's sarcastic most of the time, and he's an all around funny character! I also like how he and the Aussie always get into it. Reminds me of my old Aussie friend in high school, always sarcastic & assholes to each other, but really just liked each other.

I'll also see If I can get a picture uploaded with my K/D and post it on here. It was a 2.6 after the BETA ended in March, and I'm picking the game up today! Also If anyone else plays the game add my gamer tag: x 3PITOM3

Ha ha! No their not obese, they are just huge, and the armor they wear just makes them look bigger then they actually are.

Just FYI:
It also has a perk system for new players, so they don't get their asses handed to them all the time, you get extra damage you can give & take in the multiplayer mode. That only last until you reach a certain level in the ranking system though. I think 5 or 10, but not really for sure.

I was gonna order this game, but then I found out that none of my friends were gonna get it. An I don't like playing games with random ass people. So I took all of my money I had down on it, and put it towards X-Men Destiny.

Agree man, I hate playing with randoms as well. I have about 55-60 players on my friends list that play gears, so I rarly have that problem. If you do end up getting it you can add my gamertag which is located on my first post. Kinda defeats the purpose since im still random, but i've gotta a lot of good players on my side, and you won't have any trouble with the game if you play with us.

Yep, gears of war is on the PC.

Yes, but only first Gear game, others have yet to be ported on PC, and from what I can tell that will never happen, at least not in near future. I hear it's actually good, unlike those shity Halo ports.

I've been solidly playing it since release. I'm a bit of a dlc and bonus nerd so I 'needed' the gold extras. I even got Adam and a Savage, plus I played Beta and got the gold retro and thrashball Cole.

Aaaaaaanyway, those things aside I loved the plot of this game. It had a very similar feeling to the others but that's certainly not a problem for me. Exactly the opposite, in fact. I loved the others and would have been pissed if they altered it too much. I think the Extra weapons, creatures, characters and game modes are the perfect amount of change. Back to the plot, I would have liked it to be more 'this is it' in some places. *possible spoiler*- The defence of Anvil Gate springing to mind. I find't like that it was just 'three gates and a tonne of soldiers down *shrug*' but nevermind, eh?

I did shed a tear at one point, too. :'(

Loving 4 player co-op and online play though. Also get giddys about building things in Horde mode. Going to play later on and ill definitely be on during the events next w.e.

It's the best of the series in my opinion. First thing to love about it? CLAYTON M-FING CARMINE!!! Finally, the legendary Carmine who doesn't suck! (Plus with the generic gear character, we can finally have a team of all carmine's! lolz.)

I love how all the weapons have executions! (My personal faves being the Scortcher and Lancer) I love the addition of the Retro Lancer. I really don't think it's accuracy is as bad as it could be. I can't use that double barrel though... But it's nice to have my buddies run up in front of me when I'm being charged by maulers and oneshotkill them.

Amazing game, loved it all! (But especially horde mode, cause that's just where I live. ^_^ )

I totally recommend getting the game, it has excellent replay value, and the multiplayer is really addicting. They really improved on Horde, and theirs also a new mode called Beast.

I agree, the retro lancer is over rated, and the sawed off is cheap.

Epic games has done it again with gears 3 ha, and agreed hate playing with randomers which is a big problem for me seeing as all my friends are cod and halo nutters XD.
