As drool-worthy as I find FF6 in all its unopened glory, no I would not - not when I could stroll into a flea market and purchase hundreds of other classic games
...is on sale for $250, complete with maps, manual and all the extra things at my local videogame store. Should I buy it? I really want to, because I want to have what I once had when I was a teen. The price is pretty steep though. Would you buy it? Does anyone still try to hunt them down in stores and on ebay?

You can probably the GBA version for at least a tenth of that brand new, so probably no I wouldn't buy it. I'm always hunting down games online and In the few gaming stores that we have around here, it helps to look around a bit first before jumping in.

Is we talking the PSOne FFVI?
Got my copy of that for around $29 ish back in 2002 or so, still in mint condition. Unless you are a hardcore collector who needs to have absolutely every single additional item made for it, I'd say no don't buy it for such a high price. At most I would pay like $50 for it.

No, we're talking about the SNES FF6. Opened, in a nearly mint box and everything.
Ugh, definitely overpriced. I've got them around the corner from me here, original black label box and all contents, opened and played but in near-mint condition, for $40. Multiple copies.
.........want one?

Yeah, that would be awesome. How would I be able to pay you? Paypal?
Let me go peruse again and I'll let you know. I want to make sure the good copies are still there. We can talk cost and shipping if I end up making a purchase.
Did the same a few years back when I shipped Dawezy a PSP! (shipping to Australia is expensive)

That'd be great. Hope they have everything, including the Mog poster, double sided map of WoB and WoR, manual and some promotional offers. Then all I'd have to do is buy me an SNES, but those things cost like $80. Maybe I'd think of getting a portable SNES that I can hook up to a TV as well. Hmm...
My patience has ended and I went out and bought the game for $249.99. Everything's in near mint, awesome condition. Guy even gave me a box protector for free and no taxes. This is real dope!
And all the goods:
