Falcom Announced a New Game

Falcom made several game announcements today, but the one that will likely intrigue many Falcom fans is the tease of a new project which seems to be unrelated to their existing franchises Y's or the Legend of the Heroes series. All they have for now is a couple pieces of artwork and comment saying it is a going to be a huge title.

I don't know... that character in screenshot #2 looks ALOT like Adol Christin from the Ys games, I could be wrong though. I really, REALLY hope that falcom will focus more on console releases.

Yeah, that's why I said seems for now rather than confirmed it is not an Ys game. Because like you said, the second artwork does seem to look a little like Adol. However, considering that Ys is a known property, it would seem odd for Falcom to announce the game as an unknown title if it was going to be an Ys game. They would get a lot more attention by saying it is the latest in the Ys series.

Yeah this could be something completely different. I did read in an earlier news article from siliconera about a month or two ago stating that falcom had a new legend of heroes game in the works and a new ys game.

I still have a hunch that falcom may be hinting at a new ys game, but there are facts still yet to be revealed about this particular game in question.

Yeah, I posted another article about the latest Legend of Heroes game being made. Don't know if I put up stuff for the Ys game. I don't know how many unique IPs Falcom has, so it would be nice to see what they do when they aren't using an existing franchise. They seem to have a strong following, so they should not have any problems with the game.

Here is the article i mentioned from the other month. The developer stated he is working on both legend of heroes and a new Ys game. I noticed the bottom photo of the article that depicts an iPhone displaying LoH characters.

What I'm getting at is that I think the next legend of heroes is seemingly aiming for a iOS release and the picture you posted in the topic has got to be Ys. That's why I am predicting a Ys game. If this is true, then the dev is hinting at Ys VIII

EDIT: Ohhhh.... this site elaborates on the hinted titles. The iphone game is apparently a falcom x social game from what I read. The two pictures at the top of the thread must depict left picture for new Legend of Heroes title, and right picture for new Ys. http://www.esterior.net/2013/12/sen-...ystery-titles/
