Strange case this, I'm not too keen on getting the actual PS3 console because it would end up being a oversized-paperweight bluray player. (A $399 one at that.. >_>.)
But I'm starting to amass a collection of games for the PS3 and since I don't have the console, well, need an emulator on the PC now don't I?
Anyone have a copy of something out there, or know of a site that doesn't force you to fill out surveys (I'm after PS3EMX, if not that then something better.) I'm all ears.

All I use my ps3 for is the usb slots and blu rays, its not that bad of a blu ray player, and surely you can get a ps3 for around the $100 mark no?
$399 in this time sounds like a crazy price
399$! You can buy a brand new PS4. I live in a country where video game consoles and games are expensive to say the least, even by US standards, and I got my PS3 almost brand new with two games for 150$.
Also, is there something as a PS3 emulator, a functional one that is, because even PCSX2 is still fairly unstable?

Aye, Dawezy's in Aussieland though, so the PS4 is a pretty penny higher than $399 out there.

Currency conversion is a bitch lol, everything always has a markup down here compared to the rest of the world. That $399 tag is for a bundle pack, PS3 500gb phat & 3 games plus additional hdmi cable.
If I were to get the console barebone it'd be like um.. $369. Baring in mind these are all retail prices, not some eBay pickup. The PS4 still goes for around $450 ish too. So eh >_>
Better off with a PS3, if I were to purchase one since PS4 isn't backwards compatible with PS3 games or PS2 games as far as I know. I'll try that one you linked to Loco but it looks like I'll need to hunt down a bios file from somewhere - would I need a Auzzie specific one I wonder, or is it like the BD regions? A and B.
EDIT: Yeah, looks like I am screwed - my comp is quite the beast (Skyrim on ultra high, Borderlands 2 the same, Batman Origins / Arkham City / Asylum ultra high, Saint's Row IV ultra high.) but even PS2 games lag, albeit not very often but it's still there so I doubt it'd be running a PS3 game anytime soon. When I goto EB to pick up my Lightning Returns copy I'll grab a PS3 aswell.
So much for that idea ;_; just a matter of convenience is all.
