Did the first version ever make it over to the West? I remember hearing about this game just not when. I wanted to pick it up, but I don't remember a western release date.
Announced about a month back, Square Enix is going to be releasing a new version of Bravely Default. It was originally confused as being a new game, but it is an updated version of the game with new story elements and balancing done to combat and drop rates. The important thing to note though, is this is the version that will be localized for NA and EU.

No, the original version of the game did not make it out here. This is the version that will be receiving of the game. It is the same game as before just with some updates and balancing done to it. So they aren't different games.

They seemed to have adopted that sort of style for their handheld games. Which works out well for them. It supposed to have a classic RPG feel to it. And has been well received from what I remember. Definitely a game to be on the watch for.

I believe it is a lot like FFIII. It is turn-based, probably stat based turn order, but I'm not complete sure about it. I'm pretty sure you can do multiple attacks in an action like you could with the FFIII DS remake. The trailers I've seen of it felt a lot like it.
