3d dot game heroes

I looked at the game news recently and it seems there is going to be a game similar to Zelda for the PS3. Its called 3d dot game heroes like i mentioned in the title and if you check out gameplay videos of it you'll see the resemblance between the two games. Reminds me of little big planet but taken in a different direction.

Kinda reminds me of Zelda a bit, mixed with Lego's (Which I loved as a kid)

It's supposed to remind you of Zelda. It's an homage. People (by which I mean commenters on sites like IGN and G4) don't seem to get this. They keep complaining that the game is a Zelda rip off or a Zelda clone without realizing that that's exactly the point.

I for one am looking forward to this game. Some hilarious old school loving is exactly what current gen consoles need right now. And at a price tag of $40 USD, how can you go wrong?

The $40 price tag (like Jin mentioned) and the fact that it's made by Atlus really give it some cred. I'm surprised they didn't choose to release it as a PSN download in addition to the disc.

It's not actually made by Atlus, they're just publishing it. From Software (makers of Demon's Souls) developed it.

Atlus has this thing about publishing Japanese games that otherwise would not see the light of day outside of Japan.
