Midgar – Allen Whent – Shin’ra Tribute – It was announced a week ago the untimely death of President Shin’ra. Questions related to the death have been held in secret by the press secretary, Violet Bargress. Each interview has been refused and the questions passed by when brought up during press conferences. The public opinion and interest in the Shin’ra Electric Company has interest since the death bringing them concern, especially over the react collapse of the plate of Sector 7. The Sector 7 incident, where the now executed terrorist cell calling themselves AVALANCHE destroyed the supports causing its collapse, has the public frightened that rogue members of terrorists cells are plotting against the citizens of Midgar that support the Shin’ra Electric Company. Now with the death of the president, this concern has become panic that demands and needs explanations.
Since Shin’ra is keeping the cause of death to nothing more than an untimely death by heart attack, the mysteries surrounding the circumstance require a light to be brought to them. The trail to Shin’ra was still warm, but blocked with the might of their organization. However, there were other sources available still that could bring light to this tragedy.
The beginning of the trail had to be started at the Make Reactor #1 incident, which was also the result the terrorists cell AVALANCHE. Due to the great loss life and tragedy over the explosion of the reactor it had brought people together. The citizen nearby were more than willing to provide information, unfortunately most was less reliable than the press releases. However, a lead was found during a stop at a local bar.
A Mr. M was able to provide a small amount of information that tied connections together to confirm the terrorist’s involvement. He was had visual evidence that showed known terrorists escaping from the reactor moments before the blast. This gave his information the weight needed to follow to the next scene, the slums.
Sector 7 would have been ideal for answers, but most of those living in the Sector 7 Slums were now dead from the terrorist attack. However, Mr. M was able to provide details on a few survivors to the incident that could fill in more details on the terrorist cell and their plans.
Miss. Q, who was recovering in a clinic in the slums under Sector 6, had been near the fall. However, she had been able to witness some of the daily activities of the terrorists prior to the fall. She was able to identify that Seventh Heaven, a bar in the slums, was their base of operations for planning their attacks on Midgar. The bar is now destroyed under the plate, suspicions being that it was in part to cover up their tracks during a raid by Shin’ra. This meant that being able to confirm this would be impossible, but her son had seen individuals leaving the slums towards the center of Midgar.
This trail of breadcrumbs had lead back to the Shin’ra Electric Company main building. After a little investigation, a difficult but possible path up from the slums that came out near the main building was discovered. The sight had been clearly tampered with for anyone to notice only further confirming the lead.
The security prevented further investigation of the scene, but an off duty security guard was able to fill in details. Apparently, the night of the president’s death there was a break-in to the main building of several armed intruders. They fought their way up the floors with the intention of reaching the president, says the guard. The terrorists were highly skilled and well trained in combat making the normal security guards of the building completely out matched. They were unable to stop the terrorists with many losing their lives to these people that savagely broke through the security.
Accounts of the president’s office were unknown to the guard, but the aftermath was very clear. At this part the man became hysterical as he recalled the gruesome sight that he must have had seen. From the pieces that could be put together from his stuttering, all of the walls leading to the office were lined thick with blood from anyone that stood up to the terrorists. The guard was not able to see the body of the president, but the cloth covering was said to be completely soaked with blood.
He was unable to confirm the reports of the AVALANCHE terrorists member’s execution reported by Shin’ra, but it is clear now that all of these tragedies had been carried out by a single group of individual bent on destroying the work of Shin’ra and the citizens that built it. These are people that should be feared. Images of their faces can be found throughout the city and citizens are urged to report any sightings of these terrorists for the safety of the city. They are extremely dangerous and well armed with thousands of dead already from their actions. Be cautious in dealing with any one fitting their descriptions.
