Banners. The hell?

I understand some restrictions were made to stop people from having large images in their signatures. Completely understandable, because long ass signatures tick me off just as much. But now, it's limited people to what they can have in their signatures.

I've made a banner for Xanatos, and he can't even use it in its full glory. The transparency isn't working for starters, and it's been horribly resized. The restrictions are: "500 by 250 pixels is maximum size allowed, or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)" - the image is smaller than 500x250 at 400x220, and it's... a little more than 19.5. It's a .png (like all or most of all banners I've made), what can I say?

Either way, the restrictions won't stop people using multiple images (sorry to use you, but lady_ashe as an example) to make a big signature. It's a little saddening that all of my old banners won't work again on here either, and that I can't really make any more how I'd used to. Can't the restrictions just go back, and have verbal/point warnings induced when signature length gets abused?

Come on, there's people here who don't want to abuse it. ><

His banner probably got screwed up because he used the upload feature rather than using the bbcode to link it. Because my banner is bigger than the one you made and it hasn't been resized.

Edit: After checking, yes. He used the upload feature, and it turned the gif into a jpg. So uh, don't get ticked at TFF. It's Xan's mistake, not the restrictions.
But yeah, lady_ashe needs to be checked.

I don't know why the upload feature screws images up like that, but it does. It needs to be fixed somehow.

Victoria is right, I used the upload feature, though I don't remember having problems with it before, either way it was mistake on my part and I feel need to apologize to both of you.
