Problem with gifting items.

I bought an item and would like to gift it to someone. It's in my inventory and has said I have purchased it. When I go to gift it it says I don't have the amount to send it. Am I being daft or is something not adding up here?

I ran into this problem a while back, try returning the item and instead of buying it to your inventory just go ahead buy as a gift. This is the solution that I have had to do on multiple occasions.

It would be interesting to see why you can't gift from your inventory though. I think it tries to charge you the full price of the item again or maybe it is just a huge coding errrror in vBCommerce.

Buy, Gift, Cart. Just choose Gift if you want to give it as a gift.

Hm. I get it. I thought you were trying to gift it from the store, rather than your items.

Although, I don't get why you would buy something to your inventory and then gift it. Just....click "Gift". It's quicker that way, and has the same end result.

I guess it's some sort of glitch, then.

I bought the item and I chose gift from the list of options. When I went to send it, it said I didn't have the funds to do so. Which I thought a little odd as I had previously purchased it.

I just returned it now. It wasn't worth the hassle. =]

Well, I just tested it and it worked for me, and I had 0 money deducted.

I don't know. It was weird. Apparently it has happened to other people as well. It's ohkay though. Thanks for the help.

This happened to me earlier, so maybe it's just with the item itself. I do know that I couldn't send gifts from my inventory, because it was requesting a price, and said I didn't have enough.

This is exactly what happened to me.
I just sold it. I don't have enough to buy it again.
But it doesn't really matter.
