Log in all the time?

I looked but couldn't see if anyone else had this problem so I apolpgise if I missed it and am putting in a thread with this question if it has already been answered. My question is this, If I write a long post answer when it comes to submitting it I am told I cannot post without logging in but I logged in when I first open up the site I don't know why I am being repeatedly asked to log in when I did log in what is up with that?

When you enter your name and password click on 'remember me' and you'll stay logged in.
