Admit it, you made the same mistake. When I first saw Larsa I thought he was a girl, I mean he looks like one, his voice and name didn't help either, only when I finished the part with the Lhusu Mines did I find out that he's a guy, to be honest I wasn't shocked as this wouldn't be the first time Final Fantasy tricked me.

How long did it took you to find out, I bet many of you made the same mistake.

well with a name like larsa and it being FF and all, i was skeptical at the start. but i had the "ah ha!" moment after the mines also.

Ya know, back in the day wee lads were used as females on stage, but anyhuma...

I was not fooled by "Lamont". The big reason why not is because of scans that were released before the game and it said that Lamont was a male. I can see how some people could get confused. I do find his attire to pass as something a young boy would wear in Ivalice and his voice was "manly" enough to give him distinction.

I am still undecided on whether he is a guy or girl. I think I am on the guy side, but he might be gay..

Yes, when I first saw larsa I thought she, I mean he, was a girl. I also thought Vaan was a girl XD...

Larsa is twelve years old in the events of FF XII... How many 12-year-olds boys look like they're at the peak of masculinity? It's understandable that he looks a bit androgynous at that age, but I never got the vibe that he was a girl.

Meh, girly-guy or not, he's still one of the best temporary party members ever.

I successfully completed many o' the more challenging hunts with his help.

I never had a problem identifying him as a guy, he has a soft voice but Vayne had long hair and everyone from that game wears silly clothes. I can't exactly say what immediately led me to know he was a boy because I hate this game and can't remember the one time I played that part but he never confused me.
