    Trojan Downloader Problem

As of recently I'm getting alerts on a Trojan Downloader (caught by OneCare program) periodically every time I enter the index. Just putting a warning of this in case you know anything of it and for the safety of other members.

It has to do with the ads or something. And really...

Use Firefox (or some other browser) with adblock. Solves all your problems. Meier brought it up too, and he was using Internet Explorer.

Personally, I'm using FF with adblock and I've gotten no such thing. So with that process of thought, it's in the ads.

I hope Fuzz sees this. >_>

I take it you to are using IE, I will say I have had the same issues as of late. It is nothing to worry about seeing it is a PDF file. Most real viruses are not contained with in a PDF. Also if you read into it, it is a logo that is being caught by your anti Virus. The staff is aware of this little glitch in the advertisement here on TFF.

Alright then, hopefully we can get rid of the ads for good. I'm using IE too, but since it takes OneCare to clean it up a couple of seconds so it's no harm done. Thank you though.

The problem with that is that the web costs run well over $100/month due to the bandwidth required to keep the site up and running. Even when the forums aren't at their peak activity, the base site still draws tons of traffic on a daily basis.

Thanks for catching this. It actually was not the ads this time (but Cesar did nail it on the head on why they are up).

I found some suspicious scripts/files in a cache directory. I went ahead and removed them. When I move TFF to a new server, it will give me a better chance to clean everything as it is transferred and upgraded, so just stand by!

    thanks
