Got to work this morning to check whats happening on TFF and it took me a few tries to actually get into the site. It took me to a file hosting site after clicking on TFF from google after typing the adress into the search bar had failed. Saying something had been deleted on this file hosting site. Then it worked when I tried again.
I cleared my cache and attempted from three browsers to get into TFF directly. All three worked.
Can you detail us on which browser you were using at the time and if there was anything else abnormal about your experience?

Loco are you going to google.com and searching for The Final Fantasy Forums and clicking on the very first link? I've tried this at home on Chrome and Firefox as well at work here at Hostgator on Firefox and Chrome. Same thing, only if you go to google.com and type in "The Final Fantasy Forums".

Site hijacking from google is so common these days. Maybe they should spend less time figuring out ways for me to stop trolling people on youtube and start focusing on their comprimised search engine.
GOOD catch Rowan - thank you for reporting this! I was wondering why our traffic has gone down over the last week, so I'm sure this played a big role in it... I'm not sure how long this has been going, but it has happened several times before... I'm about sick of vBulletin and vbSEO as they are the culprits here. I JUST updated to the latest vBulletin, too! vbSEO has a lot of vulnerabilities that won't be fixed because the company seizes to exist, so no support, but most of the issue is with vBulletin. The problem is how they store data for plugins using a datastore that can be easily hijacked and redirect forums to spam/filestore sites like ours. I emptied the datastore and everything 'appears' to be fixed... can you guys please confirm?
I'll keep a close eye over the next few days but please let me know if you run into any other weirdness!
