    Need Help On Stone Missions.

Mission 5, "Joyless Reunion" is one of them, the other was 56 I think.
Both of the marks being in the same spot in Yaschas Massif-The Ascendant Scarp, but when I go to that spot the mark is not there, and for another mission located here as well. When I travel down that log to the mark, it shows that I'm right on it, yet no monster.
The confusing part is that I have completed the game.I was just supposed to save, load and turn around right?
Not fight Bart and Orphan again?

I haven't done anything pertaining to chocobos since the forced mission where you had to find Sazh's chick a few times.
DO I need to do stuff with a chocobo to unlock these marks, as this is the only thing I can conjure up...

I have done missions 1-7 with the exception of 4.
Me not having done 4 can't possibly be making this mark not come up is it?

Sorry for the long post but I have tried everything I can think of and am going mad.

While I have this thread, how and where do I even get a darned chocobo?!?
I have the guide, so just tell me where to go to get one, thanks.

EDIT: The mark for 4 is also located there and is doing the same thing.
When I walk down the log to go to the mark which is right next to the stone for it it says I'm there, but no monster...

For 'Joyless Reunion', number 5, I had trouble too.. You need to go up the trail, not down the tree truck.. Go all the way to the end of Tsumitran Basin and it's at the end..

To get to the Chocobos you have to complete mission 12.. It will release a red paling blocking the entrance to the canyon they are in..

    Hope this helps.. Good luck..

If you have the same guide that I do, Piggyback Interactive, there is a map of the area your in on page 118.. It's at the tip of the northern canyon..

    I do...
    Torrents, FTW!

Wow..the retardation I was lulled into while only following the marker during story mode had me NOT using the map and actually seeing that the mark had moved once I was on a lower level.
Lesson learned.Almost a point on what I mentioned in your other thread, the laziness of the devs.I'm not even close to bashing them or this game, but don't you think that at least they could have
A.)Turned that waypoint marker off after Orphan OR at least have it pointing to the active mission.

B.) Made a straight playthrough instead of confusingly (thank lord for the guide) putting you back at the save previous to BarScrandelus (thats what I call him, he's a beeotch).

I read a good point somewhere someone made once.

Good game, but why do I like Mystic quest through 3 for the SNES better?!?!?!

    heh

I've acquired the Collectors Catalog and the Survivalist Catalog from a mission.
Are they more or less effective if I don't have my party leader equip them?

Can I have one of the A.I equip them?

Please refrain from double posting. I cleaned up the three posts you made, but in the future if you have new things to posts and you're the last one posted edit the post.

Any item that increases the drop rate of certain items or increases CP have to be equipped by characters that are in the current battle party for it to work. It is not required that the controlled character wears the accessory. So if you have Vanille in the party and you're controlling Fang, Vanille can be holding all of the catalogues if you wish.

Do note that the way the game hands out drops after battles is rare item first and then if a rare item is not dropped it goes to the regular item and possibly drops that. So if you do get a rare item you won't get a regular item from the monster. It is a little bothersome, but it is good to know when you are looking for a specific type of drop from a monster.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.

Mystic Quest!? Good lord, now that brings back pleasant memories..
    I loved that game..

Yes, I have a catalog on each of my 3 characters.. A survivalist, a collectors and a connoisseurs catalog.. It doesn't matter which 3 and it does help a little to get more items.. But don't stack the same ones, it doesn't help..
