Ive just finished a spell with Lightning, Faith and Hope. I had four paradigms to choose from. Now I can pick my own party, I have only three paradigms with the same crew.
How is it decided and how can I get the most paradigms?

Open your menu, go to "Paradigms", and you can change any of their role's around to be whatever you want for up to 6 paradigms.
The name of the paradigm is just what combination you do. As there are only so many combinations you can do, they all have a specific name.
SEN/RAV/RAV is Mystic Tower.
RAV/RAV/RAV is Tri-disaster
COM/RAV/RAV is Relentless Assualt
etc.

Sadly, the trophies in most games are much easier and are things you just happen to come across while playing rather than doing something out of the ordinary.
I saw pictures of the paradigm box full of paradigms and I thought it was for when you were allowed to learn a fourth skill.
By the way, I'm on the Xbox but I'm going to get the PS2 to play the previous games in this series.

I was waiting for the rest of the paradigm decks to open up, so I tried to assign 6 one day and voila!
I guess that instruction books isn't just for collectibles completion
