By now, we all know that you upgrade weapons until they reach a star, and then you use a special item to transform them into a better weapon. Does the same work with equipment? Say I had a Platinum Bangle. Could I conceivably level it up until I max it out and transform it into a Diamond Bangle?

I don't know if it'll work for the Bangle, since I haven't tried it, but in terms of accessories, I think it should, yeah. If I recall correctly, I used one of those 30,000 Gil catalysts from The Motherlode to upgrade a Hermes Sandals to Sprint Shoes. Actually, yeah, I'm sure of that, because I dismantled a Tetradic Crown to the Hermes Sandals. So, you should try the Bangle and see if it'll upgrade, but in terms of overall accessories, I'm positive you can upgrade them.

yeah, with the right catalyst you can keep upgrading Bangles all the way up to the one that gives you HP+1000.

Yes. Some accessories you can only get by upgrading, in fact. The HP+ bangles will eventually upgrade into one that gives you +3000 HP when maxed and it can't be obtained any other way, you have to do the upgrades to acquire it.

But yes, the lowest HP+ bangles will eventually be upgraded to the 3000HP one. The Platinum bangles that start at a higher HP upgrade than the +50 ones (first one you get) are technically "already upgraded" to that step. If that makes sense.
