Would you like a new 2D Final Fantasy?

So, we haven't had a main 2D Final Fantasy game since FFVI (well, we got IV: The After Years, but I mean a whole new game unrelated to another game). I love both the 2D and 3D games, but I think the 2D games have a certain charm to them and I'd personally love a new one. One with a great story and characters. Another FFIV or VI, basically. Hell, it can even be on a handheld, like the PSP. I'm really not big on handhelds, but after playing FFVI: The Complete Collection on the PSP, I've kind of warmed up to the idea of handhelds.

With how easy it is to do a sprite game. im surprised no employee at the company did not just make a handheld 2D game on their spare time. Its fun to work with 16 bit sprites and i would love to have a new 2D Final Fantasy game that lets you build your Sprite.
