Probably because the summon's attack is so great that they don't want to hurt the teammates.
I just noticed that most party members disappear after you summon...
Is it because the summon won't use full power if all members are there?
Your pathetic existence will shut down. I will make your lives end in ruin. Fear me, as you fear death. Not a threat, not a promise, but what must be finished. 7 final arcs...
Probably because the summon's attack is so great that they don't want to hurt the teammates.

Currently Playing: Video Games
Is this, like, just in video games in general, or are you talking about Final Fantasy games? Granted, I can't think of many other games that use summons-except games without "parties" in the jrpg sense, like The Elder Scrolls or Warcraft-but if you're talking specifically about FF, this should go in the general FF forum. In fact, I'm just going to assume you were talking specifically about FF's and move it to general ff, so I don't have to think about it. Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
I think troll face was right
I think the creators just did it like that so there is more space on the battle feild for the summon scene, you know just so the characters don't get mixed up with in it...
