Well, they do have a point, everything dies eventually. I don't think that FF will die until the world itself dies IMO.

I would prefer the game series and they make 3.75 version table top roleplaying game where you can have the game based in what ever world you want.
because when it comes down to it. I dislike all the games now. Ive played them all, I respect the idea of each world and how it works. They are an over hyped series with devoted fan base that are more into anything that comes out of the country of japan.
I say give something that the fans can make on their own and end it once and for all. Any or at all respect for the series is going down the drain. yeah you make like the game but can you really respect it.
but in reality the never say die fan base who will continue to purchase everything that comes out on a main console will keep doing so to the point when the company has lost enough clients that they have no choice but to kill it.
frankly I think that poor dead horse has is doing nothing but coughing up blood now.
I don't ever want this franchise to die, but eventually they will. Either they want to try out new things, or they will stop for different reasons ...
I cannot say when they're gonna die, since I'm not psychic x)
But I think it's gonna 'die' when Square Enix wants to try out some new stuff.
FF all the way! :woot:
I've been playing final fantasy for 12 years now, and to me it's become the backbone of any RPG in the world, without final fantasy there Square Enix would lose all hope for the future, final fantasy is there main product. Do they even make any others games? I'm sure they do, but Final Fantasy is loved by millions all across the world. I don't consider myself a "hardcore" gamer, but I love FF but it tells a story about lives, their struggles, it relates to people and it's fun...cept when you have to face the demon wall in ff7....I hated that thing.
But I digress, will the franchise die? Sooner or later it will, I mean if there's any game title that will go until the end of time, it will not be Mario and it won't be Link, it will be Final Fantasy just because of the hardcore group of fans who love the game. I'm 25 now, I can see them making up to Final Fantasy XXXIII, systems will change, battle systems may change, the guys might get hotter, the girls might get bigger boobs (that's for all the Tifa male fans out there ;), but at the end of the day, I feel someday the franchise will die, but I feel it won't happen until my grandchildren turn my age.
