What was the Fastest FF for you?

Like, what FF went the fastest for you?
For me it was FF13. Took me 40 hours to get to the final boss, however, I lost 3 times in a row and didn't fight him until about 60 hours in.

If possible, I would like to leave out certain games in the franchise do to their in-complexity, like FF1,2,5. Those games I have beaten in about 25 hours, however, the remakes of FF3,4 left me more hours.

Usually in FF games, about the 70 hour mark for me is the final boss, and about 104 hours is he final super boss.

Longest would be FFX. For somereason, it's story makes it feel abnormally long in a good way, and one of the only FF games that left me sad, and wished it continued longer.

I can't remember if it was FF7 or FFX-2, but I know both was around 20-30+ hours or something.

Didn't really dig 7 so I sped through it, and FFX-2 was just easy enough for me to plow through the main story. If I done more side quest or rather mini-quest then yeah it would had taken me a lot longer, but unless I'm in love with the game, there's a VERY slim chance I'll do side-quest.

I would say the fastest for me was FF XIII the game made it really easy to just fly through. It took me a little less than 40 hours. I like Final Fantasy's where I'm sitting up around 80 hours. I'd say my longest Final Fantasy would have to be played with FFX and FF IX. I would say teh longest RPG I've ever played was Suikoden. I put at least 100 hours into that game. Probably my favorite rpg of all time.

It was in my interest to beat Final Fantasy V as fast as possible, couldn't stand the game to be honest. It took 20-25 hours to do so, had trouble beating several bosses as I was underleveled. Meant to do the same with X-2, gave up rather fast, couldn't torture myself anymore.

10 actually on a 2nd playthrough


I played minimal blitzball, just enough to get Wakka's weapon, but I usually take 75 hours on a game at least, and more recently on 10, and 12, and 9, almost or more than 100, but on the 2nd playthrough of 10, when I wasn't even trying to race, I did it in 60.

Probably 7 but 10 takes the longest if you are after 100% completion.

Well, I beat FFI in 12 hours on my first playthrough without a strategy guide, so it has to be that one

BUT you said no FFI, so its FFXIII then. Just over 40 hours...

Fastest Final Fantasy title for me would have to be X. It's very linear until later in the game, but in my first playthrough of any game, i always do the storyline first and then in a second playthrough i would aim for mastering extras.

X's storyline just seemed to whittle down quickly, going to and from temples on the pilgrimage, then finding out the enemy(s), and then doing a few boss fights, then the end.

Out of all the Final Fantasies i've played, probably X was the shortest for me. I practically rushed through the last quarter of the game because i wanted to see what happened with Yuna and Tidus. Sadly, i never quite figured out how to make custom weapons and armor effectively, and gave up on the bonus dungeons relatively early.

Hopefully one day soon i will have another crack at it xD

Well besides X-2...which I did in about 35 hours by doing like all the side quests and not leaving my house for a weekend lol. Besides that I was actually the fastest for me, I did it in 48 hours...once again, weekend final fantasy bender!
